Finished my Jayne pistol

Well, thanks to Sidewinder's greeblies, I've finished converting my Le Mat.
Weighs a deal.
I have no lanyard ring, but to be honest, that doesn't concern me. I can always add that later.
I agonised over darkening the original parts down again, but in the end I can't bring myself to lose this shiny finish, so this is how it stays.
Only thing I'm likely to do now is get the cylinder on a lathe and etch a line around it.
Shiny.

I didn't like Jayne's gun at first, but the more I see these conversions, the more I like it.

Awesome work. :thumbsup :thumbsup

Gorram gorgeous. (Oh, and yeah, I like the shiny finish, too.)

Like Nexus 6, I wasn't much of a fan of Jayne gun, but man am I kicking myself for not picking up the pieces that were being sold recently to make one of these for myself (not that I know anything about any of the work involved in assembling one of these... probably way beyond me...).

Yeah, it took me a little while to come around to firefly in general. I didn't really watch the show until after I saw Serenity, which I love, and will forever love. I was lucky enough to see "Out of Gas" and "War Stories" on sci-fi before the film, which I was glad for.

After the film I bought the series boxed set, now I'm all about the damn show.

But yeah, I was at first one of the guys who saw OLD weapons in a futuristic show and cringed. But I have since been charmed by it.

THIS conversion in particular I like because you kept the dull gray finish of the denix. This is how I was thinking of doing my first Jayne pistol and later getting one of Rich's more screen acurate resin models. :love

Looks great. awesome. Love it. Love it. Love it.

EDIT for spelling. :rolleyes I suck.

Wow. That is a sweeeet piece... Outstanding work..

I too, came late to Firefly. At DragonCon, I saw soooo much Firefly/Serenity stuff, all these people walking around w/ Jayne hats, had noooo clue.

I came back, mentioned it to a buddy, who told me: "Just go buy the set. Buy the movie. Don't bother renting them, just go buy them...now...." So, I did. Started watching this weekend. OMG. Gotta make a Browncoat outfit now.. LOL.

It's a sick hobby, isn't it??
