Finished my 1:2 Scale R2-D2 65 piece model, with over 11 metal parts

So it started out long ago, with my hasbro 12" scale 1/6 scale R2D2...then I just had to get the Medicom R2D2...still was the 1/6 scale, and then Sideshow had to come out with their 1/4 scale R2 and C3P0... so I already owned a full 1:1 sized one, so I just needed to build something that was not available and the 1:2 scale was made. Here is a pic of the parts, and the person I contracted to do all the sculpting and molding did a fantastic job, all the parts fit together, no sanding, no trimming, just prime, paint and bolt together... I should have a fully painted one by the weekend..but I am hoping you like my newest. might do a run of them for determined and interested astromech lovers

That's sweet! really clean castings, is this a one off or do you plan on doing a few different variations? really looking forward to seeing the paint up

thanks..yeah, the person who casts these up for me, uses a pressure oven to ensure bubble free parts, and since I have molds on all parts, I'll will most likely need to make a few to pay back the project, and I contracted for a small run, but this is a show thread...I'll create a junkyard thread if there is enough interest...

I actually am, but I am not supposed to discuss it in this section, am getting things pulled together to offer a run of a dozen or so in the JunkYard. Now that GentleGiant cancelled their R2 statue, this one can bring alot of hobbyists and collectors happiness...
