Tell me what you think... I may do some more light, general weathering on the gun body.

A closer look at some parts:

And have some quick "finalization" questions... I know some are "rookie type" quessions, but I'm a bit late to the "Solo Blaster party"

So...

What is the most accurate length of the exposed bull barrel (from the rear dge of the bull barrel to the rear-most edge of the flash hider)...?

Overall length of the true, correct scope?

What was finaly determined about the mystery disc?

And more of a "thought" than a question - was this blaster intentionally weathered for the production, or was it "free weathering" due to older, beat up parts used by Bapty?

Re: Building an ANH Hero Solo Blaster

Well, the MR Elite blaster has an "exposed" bull barrel length of 30mm. From where the bull barrel meets the upper receiver, to the back of the flash hider.

Not sure about the other questions.

Re: Building an ANH Hero Solo Blaster

Thanks SJ! That helps a lot. And that is just about where mine sits too... So I guess I'm doing well!

Re: Building an ANH Hero Solo Blaster

Thanks WDB - that helps confirm my thoughts on that part.

Also, what exactly is the item that sits on top of the bull barrell? T-Track? Was this confirmed on the original prop?

Re: Building an ANH Hero Solo Blaster

Dead topic...? My price for sitting on this project for so many years... :unsure

Re: Building an ANH Hero Solo Blaster

I've heard people say it is T-track. It looks like the track has been angled or cut on top though.

People also claim there is at least one of the Q-tip shaped things to one side of the T-track. The idea being that there were originally two like on the Merr-Sonn, but one broke off.

Re: Building an ANH Hero Solo Blaster

Thanks again, WDB!

Here's yet another detail question: On the cast I have, the front grill curves around the area of he mystery disc, but I think on the MR it is angled towards the front of the gun. Which is more correct?

Re: Need help building an ANH Hero Solo Blaster

Yeah it's hard to describe verbally... I just went with the way the cast is, curving more around the mystery disc area...

I'm in final assembly now, so I should soon stop pelting with questions! ;)

PH,
I understand what you're talking about. I looked at my copy of Chronicles to see what the grill looked like, and the 2 pics of that side of the blaster were a little too "contrasty" to make out the shape of the curve. :(

Re: Need help building an ANH Hero Solo Blaster

Yup... And Wuher post a pic of an MR with the curved grill. But I could swear I saw a pic of an MR with a more straight (angle towards the front of the gun) grill... Sort of confusing...

Re: Need help building an ANH Hero Solo Blaster

Here's the "straight" configuration I refer to (I borrowed the pic so I hope the owner's cool with it):

Re: Need help building an ANH Hero Solo Blaster

Well, maybe that is how it is. I can't find pictures of that side of the blaster. The pic below is the MR Elite. You can see their sight greeblie and Q-tip shaped antenna greeblie.

I made my Q-tip antenna with a lead fishing weight and a sewing needle cut to size.

Is there still a member offering metal T-track?
