That's not an Y-Wing in particular, I did my own paintjob cuz I will use it in the background for my fanfilm.
I quickly painted it (about 1 hour) and I have more to do. I tried new technics (for me) to create the chips effect.

Looks great! The paint chipping is extremely nice for an experiment... Heck it nice for having done it as a regular practice ;) The rest of the paint looks pretty good too - perhaps a little dark on the main body greeblies but it still looks good - those Y's are supposed to be a bit grungy :lol

Thanks Isel ;)

I have to admit that's very small, so you can rush it ! :lol
The longer part was drawing and cutting the masks for the yellow makings ! :lol

I will probably use it as a pyro model ! :D

That looks AWESOME !!

For such a small model, you did a fantastic job.

Instead of destroying this one, have you considered building another one and making a mold of it? You could use expandable foam or styrafoam in the mold and blow the hell up with that one. I hate to think such a fine model getting blown apart ....:cry

I agree. Excellent weathering job, especially given the small size of the model. Sorry to hear you'll be blowing it up. :(

Great job bro, weathering is very simple, yet so effective on this little bird.
I have to admit, i wanna see you blow it up, itll be way cool lol!

Thanks guys ;)

Well James now that's a good idea ! I will get one more and cast it in expandable foam !

I have an idea, maybe use the cockpit and the engine nacelles from the kit, glued to the body, cast in foam. So I can reuse the nacelles and cockpit (I save time, I have not to repaint them ;)). And if we take a look when Y blow up, the nacelles come apart ! :D
