I saw this kit on Ebay and all they show is the Box art, nothing else. Is the model Kit any better than the original MPC Model kit?

Is the Cockpit and figures more detailed?

It is usual Fine Molds quality, but usual FM issues. Do not misread this (as some do when people point out faults), the kit has excellent detail and accuracy, but two things stick out to me. Both are on the underside, so are not as obvious. First, the main air-scoop looking thingy (which I believe is the technical name for it) on the underside in the middle. It is not a scoop but just a wall, or step, or it's just totally closed up without even a hint of it being a scoop. This looks relatively easy to fix. Also, there are two steps or scoops to the sides of the main scoop on the underside, near the front, that are not there at all. Instead, those panels just gradually go at an angle to meet what would be upper (or lower, depending on your perspective) section of the step/scoop. This one looks a little trickier to fix, but possible. What's interesting is that someone will say I shouldn't care about either of those issues because he doesn't care--but then he will go on to tell me what other issues I should care about. Anyway, you judge how much you care, how much you're will to fix if you do care, and make an informed decision.

well, the problem is, Fine Molds CEO may be a great businessman,
and employ many talented and dedicated engineers.

but probably he is not a hard core fan of Star Wars, and neither
are his engineers.

I was looking at it a thinking I should pull out my SMT speeder and compare them. Anyone done so have feedeback between the two?

Better, but better enough to justify the price tag and the fact that it's so tiny you'd have an easier time assembling a ship in a bottle? Dunno.
