I can cross another off my "must have before I die" list.

I opted for the "inactive" rod look instead of the "active glowy", cause the light blue crystal looks too grey colored. I might do another in a clear crystal and then paint it blue though. There is something to say about the frosted crystal not being a fingerprint magnet :angry

Endcap is cast off the screen used piece, and the rod is well, as close as I could get it :)

I am going to start working on designing the base later today, thinking copper over plexiglass, holding it sideways. Might go the MR qui gonn style base though instead... hmm..

Anywho, onto the pics!

Got the gold bullet, now I have the orb rod.. now all I need is a peacemaker and some ivory handle dragon shaped grips and the collection is complete!

Great looking prop there, Hydin. I'd love to see the final display piece. Brisco County, Jr. was one of the best shows on TV, I was sorry it didn't run longer.

Rich, it came out on DVD last year, I believe.

It's on DVD now. The complete set can be found anywhere from 25$ to 80$.

I am not ashamed to admit I spent years wanting Brisco's rod. Originally I got just the end of it, and spent time playing with it, measuring it, trying to find the rest of the materials to finish the length of it. I never had any luck finding anything that really "fit" the end of Brisco's rod without a hell of a lot of modification.

After I got the DVD set, I spent a good year and a half just taking screencaps of it, and designing it out. After a long and hard effort, I finally got it planned out, contacted the crystal factory and had them make the rod to my specs. It "feels" right, being crystal instead of resin or plexi. It has that cool.... hard feeling that you just KNOW Brisco's rod had in the show.

And now that I have gotten my hands on it, and I am putting it on display :D

:lol

Take that Freud!

Just so long as you don't touch Pete's Piece, you can play with Brisco's Rod all you like!
