After having this helmet for nearly two years I have finally got around to painting it.

I haven't posted a lot here but have spent a lot of time looking.

Have to give a big thanks to all those who have shared their knowledge of their building
and painting techniques so generously.

the pics are kind of big so i'll just post the links

Correct it is an AP helmet. eehh now that that I think about it I got it in may-june 05 :unsure

I have SP fett that Iwould like to re-paint one day to, but Im going to have to upgrade
my painting skills before I even think about starting that.

Cheers

Nice, clean job. I like. You have done well. You should contact Keith and get some decent mic tips now. :)

Thanks for the kind words, I ended up doing the mouth free hand rather than masking it
same with the black outline on the ears. Although I should have painted the black in
first and gray over top maybe.
It was a members advice, and I cant remember who, in one
thread on painting the chin that has been the greatest help. Pushing up a well loaded brush
to form the curves along the tops. Easy when you know how.

will definitely be looking into these new fangled mic tips as well

cheers
