Have you guys seen this?

I know actors hate to be type-casted to a certain character, but I hope that if they do decide to do a Batman 4 that its Chris Nolan directing again and Bale as Bats. I just would hate the main character changing after hopefully three great movies as him wearing the cowl. Of course, I thought the same thing about Michael Keaton's Batman until Batman Begins came out. I would of posted this in the off-topic area, but cant post there just yet.

chris nolan has said he is only doing 3 films no more after that. i dont think anybody else could make better ones tbh. but thats just my 2 pence

I'm not surprised at all. It's almost unheard of for an actor to do four or more movies in a franchise unless their career is dying or they have some part in writing/directing/producing it.

Nolan's Batman story should be a trilogy, and if the franchise is ever going to be redone again I think it would be better if it was with other actors. New movies, new faces.

It doesn't have to be completely redone. Batman has one of the best and largest Rogue galleries from any hero. The problem is that people go to see a Batman movie for the villain, and how many people want to see a villain like Firefly on the screen?

I have no problem with getting a new cast, just stay fresh with the bad guys.

I think it would be rather cool watching Batman try to track down Serenity and stop Mal and crew from bein' bad guys..

:lol

Yeah..From the Begining Nolan said he was only doing a trilogy, and intends to wrap his series up with this upcomming one, apparentally called The Dark Knight Rises.

As much as I love the series so far, if they do a 4th movie, I'll be forced to boycott. Honestly, I think it'd be too much of a good thing.

When a film series is equally reviled as it is applauded.

The recent films were completely overshadowed by Ledgers death and I find that just as many people disliked them as liked them.

They are over-rated and will not stand the test of time.

They should already be dropping the Bat for a while and come back later with The Dark Knight Returns and do it right.

^^ in your honest opinion.

i think nolan has done well. maybe making him a little too real-world, but at least it wasn't camp, or had neon lights everywhere..
i love the movies. very different way of telling the story, from a different perspective. wasn't a huge fan of the tumbler, but i'd have one..

I just hope that after the 3rd one, they wait at least 10 years before rebooting the franchise. I don't need 20+ Bat films like the Bond series.

I could be wrong, but I dont' remember Nolan ever saying he was doing a triology or saying this was the last film. I even thought in a recent interview Bale said this would be his last Batman movie, unless Nolan says there is another great story to tell. If anything, I thought Nolan had said in interviews that he only does one film at a time and that he had no plans to make TDK after Batman Begins. However,I do believe this will be the final film. One advantage in replacing Bale etc, would be that they could also redo the Joker. Seeing Bale face off against someone else playing the Joker just would seem to weird at this point.
Anyways, I would love to see any links to interviews where Nolan said that he was doing a trilogy or that this was the final film. I might have missed them.

Harry Potter? Need I remind you of Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint?
10 years, 7 movies (8 if you count the 2 parts of the 7th Harry Potter as separate) and they're all now very famous.
OT, would love to see another Batman with Cristian Bale, unlikely, but I'm hopin
