Films that look like they'll be great but aren't.

You mean you didn't like the military recruitment, er uh - I mean, alien invasion movie? I felt like they were going to start beating their chests and chanting, "U.S.A.! U.S.A.!", by the end.

Oh the humanity, that would be so dreadful...:rolleyes

- Spiderman 2 (the first Spidey Movie impressive me, and I thinked that the 2nd movie is more better ! But not, it's a copy of the one and the vilain is so bad !)
- Batman Begin
- Spiderman 3
- Hulk (Ang Lee)
- Phantom Menace
- Matrix 2 et 3
- Superman Return

Terminator 3, Terminator Salvation, 300, the new Star Trek film, Return of the King just to name a few.

I don't think there's been a film in the last five or six years that has inspired me to actually say: "Man, I want to see that on the big screen!"

I also have issues with movies that read great on the blurb, but once I get them into the PS3 they suck ARSE! Or they show you the best parts on the preview. Bring back the story writers, not these hack script writers who have no idea what a story is!

What I hate is when a trailer markets a movie as a comedy. You go to the theatre in the mindset of seeing a comedy, but what you get is a drama with a few funny scenes. I usually end up liking it anyway, and try to tell people it's good, but all I hear back is how unfunny it is. It's like they don't care about accurately portraying the movie. They just want to get butts in the seats opening weekend.

Hugely expensive hollywood films in general. While there are a few exceptions, most hyped films will always dissapoint me, so I try not to get into the hype. Actually, by now, when a movie get hyped, my expectations actually get lowered, so in the end I sometimes get positively surprised when it turns out to be good (Happened with Inception, Transformers, and when seeing Titanic again after 10 years)

Green Lantern. The build up towards the climax and the climax itself was just boring. For some reason, the animated movie Green Lantern: First Flight was better than the live-action movie.

Other movies:
- Thor (didn't like it much...)
- Transformers (all of 'em... to appreciate it, you need to channel your inner 6yr old)
- Superman Returns
- Sucker Punch (the trailer was better than the movie)

Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. and I haven't seen this one listed so I'll be the first... the Halloween remake

These were probably already mentioned but I'll say it again.

1.Sucker Punch(a plotless, pointless film with bad dialog, lots of skin and suggestion. It should have been titled,"Pick your Favorite Porn Star")
2.all three Star Wars prequels (I was failry pissed off after paying to see them thinking "the next" would be better...they just got worse)
3.Titanic (overrated, lame drama with cool special effects of the boat sinking and falling apart)
4.HULK (first film..it was just BAD from the get-go)
5.Wolverine (what a major let down, a dumbed down version of a potentially good film/story)
6.Pirates of the Carribean 4 (nothing special, allot of the same from the previous three films )
7.Death Proof(it could have been way better)
8.Star Trek VI The Undiscovered Country (played like a t.v episode)
9.X-Men 3(could have been way better)
10.Lord of the Rings Return of the King (blaaaaaaaaa...30 minutes too long and unneccessary homosexual laiden scenes I could have done without)
11.Pirates of the Carribean 3 (another film made 30 minutes longer than it should have and I could have done without the lame wedding during the last battle)

There are more, but this is a good start...

These were probably already mentioned but I'll say it again.

1.Sucker Punch(a plotless, pointless film with bad dialog, lots of skin and suggestion. It should have been titled,"Pick your Favorite Porn Star")[/quote]

Understandable. I haven't trusted Zack Snyder since his remake of Dawn of the Dead insulted my intelligence to the point where I swore to never pay to see another one of his films in theater (I have stayed true to this, seeing 300 and Watchmen both on HBO)

3.Titanic (overrated, lame drama with cool special effects of the boat sinking and falling apart)

The only good thing about the film was seeing Leo DiCaprio die.

7.Death Proof(it could have been way better)

I thought it was good for what it was: a retro-film mimicking the cheesiness and gore of grindhouse movies.

10.Lord of the Rings Return of the King (blaaaaaaaaa...30 minutes too long and unneccessary homosexual laiden scenes I could have done without)

Out of all things a character has ever said, I agree with Randall from Clerks 2 said about all LOTR films.
