Just got these today. They were sculpted by Mardon (mlcallanta) and cast in fiberglass with metal armature reinforcements. My arms are a bit big, but even so they fit me great and are almost perfectly accurate. Very symmetrical, and even though I've only primed and not painted them yet, are already looking sharp.

Sweet Greg!!!

Do they have a hinge/door or are they solid?

They are solid, but the little line is sculpted there so it looks like it might swing open. But nope, no hinge (or a fake hinge sculpt). Just solid. I'm not sure how fiberglass stuff is cast, but I can't even find a possible "seam."

Heh, I saw those pictures posted somewhere else today as well. I thought they were

there, too. ;)

Cool! Definitely one of the nicer pair of Begins gauntlets I've seen... :thumbsup

Got em all painted up. I used Krylon Satin Black. Not totally matte, but not gloss either. It has a kind of flat sheen. They look way shinier in pictures due to the flash.

Only $100. Really amazing price for the quality. I can find only a few small things about them that makes them not 100% accurate:

- Don't have enough of a "muscle bulge"
- The fins jut out and turn once. On screen used gauntlets, the fins jut out slightly, turn once, and after going a few centimeters, turn again. Pretty minor and I only noticed when comparing photos.
- Largest fin is a bit too long on the final turn. Not a big deal, and nowhere near the monstrously inaccurate fins of the Bronze Armory resin ninja gauntlets.
- Don't have the little "lip" at the base of the fins. If you look on a pair of screen used, you'll see a sort of () shape at the base of each fin.

Practically, there's nothing I'd change about them. They took the paint very well, and are very strong and fit perfectly over a shirt and gloves. It's impossible to wear them and not feel badass.

those were only $100 bucks?!?! really? holy hell man sign me up...for fiberglass gauntlets that nice...who wouldn't want them.
