Female Hive Master Wip

Ok fellow hunt brothers and sisters.... here we go.

I am finally going to start my female Predator. (insert happy clicking sounds here)

Her name is Ammut... from the Egyptian demon goddess (the great Devourer, or Eater of hearts) In ancient text she was portrayed as having a body that was part lion, hippo and crocodile.

My female is from a clan that specializes in keeping Xenomorph Hives in check. Their life is spent transporting queens to other locations, keeping the hive healthy, exterminating weak or plagued hives, and forever searching for the "perfect" host for it's offspring. Needless to say, she has seen her share of action. She will have a collection of wounds that show off her profession. A severely damaged breast, star-burst puncture mark, missing and mauled dreads, and a missing toe.

Her basic body structure will be that of the classic Predators only female. Her skin color an texture however, will be similar to that of Mr. Black from Predators. I will also be developing a type of muscle suit for her to beef her up a little.

The armor will be in tones of gold including the netting (not shown in illustration). I have designed her armor with a contrast of crude and sleek (nice, shiny armor with messy leather straps for a sort of "under garment").

I have yet to perfect the bio so I left it generic on the second sketch. I will post a bio illustration as soon as I am happy with it.

Please keep in mind that I prefer this build to remain organic and let it progress naturally. Although I have a sketch as my guide, I have no doubt that some things will change. With that said....... LET THE FUN BEGIN!!! :D

I'm back to this build! I still have not sketched up a concrete design for the bio. My instinct tells me to just start building and it will develop naturally on its own. So this is where I will begin.

I acquired this half mask from a fellow member of this forum (can't remember who, considering it was a year ago). I will be making some adjustments to this to make it fit my needs. Mainly tightening the bottom mandibles to fit snug to the chin. I will also be cutting out a section of the front forehead to get some much needed ventilation.

had to double check the dates there... no time like the present to get going. The concept sketch is awesome, best of luck with the build

That is an amazing concept, extremely well drawn and I really like the idea of the leather! Make it a reality! :D

Lov-in it ! Are the details going to be painted or actually sculpted into the bio with different textures ?

Thanks everyone! It took a while to think of what I wanted to do. I went back and forth on many ideas, but this one just seemed to click into place.

SPGFX..... the texture will be done with different embosed foam. I plan on making this build with the craft foam as I did for Kayla' s and plan to take advantage of the different textures available. The bumpy texture will be the base and the "rays" will be applied on top as a raised level in a smoother surface.

So where's the progress on this ?!? Soo many people are teasing these awesome concepts on this forum and don't keep us updated tsk tsk :p

Progress post coming Lunatic. Had to finish some things, and need to finish Zoe's Xeno queen by Comikaze in two months. I am working on my bio this weekend though, so will have something for you next week. ;)

Gaaarrrgggg!!!!! SO MUCH TO DO!!!

I started to play around with my CAD system for our 3D printer this weekend, so I didn't get much done on my female.... BUT.....
I DID start work on her...... finally. I promise to keep it up along with all the other hundred projects I need to start. LOL

The half mask head needs a ton of help. Its not a bad mask...... It just has a few adjustments that are needed for the look and feel I wish to obtain. It has a bunch of flash I need to take care of, and there are countless pits. These, however, will be easily covered with the scaled texture I am planning for her skin.

I am also considering cutting out a large portion of the forehead and add some circulation fans. The bio will be covering the crown of the mask, so I really see no need to have ALL of it. I am going to leave this for later though, since the majority of the work on the mask will be done along side the body suit. In the meantime, I altered the bottom mandibles to fit more snug against the chin. Not sure why they were positioned away from the mouth, but my theory is that this may have been a full mask mold that was modified to make a half mask.

I cut a wedge out of the mask and simply glued it down. It is still in its rough form, but will be smoothed out in a later post when I start the bodysuit.

The frame of the bio is made of 7mm foam. This will then be covered with the thinner foam as a skin.

The dome of the bio was fairy simple. I made 4 cuts, and used heat to mold it over the half mask. The pointed edges of the patterned cuts will be smoothed out with a dremel and then covered with the textured foam

I added lines to mark were my eye level is to accurately position the eye slots of the bio.

For the face part of the bio, I cut wedges out of the back of the foam.

This allows the foam to bend in a smooth line for the mouthpiece.

I cut out the eyes and the cheek lines. I will be cutting down the cheeks a bit more, but want to make sure where I am going with this bio before I commit to the trim.

Built up the center front of the bio using pieces of the thick foam

Attached the dome to the front. I still need to heat mold the dome to where it will fit snug against the crown, but it is a happy start!

Haven't posted on this thread for a while..... I wanted to get the Xeno Queen done before I started working on this build, but it seems I will still be tinkering with the xeno for eternity, or at least until Zoe outgrows the damn thing. ;)

So here is an update..... small as it is. I am hoping to get into the build full force after Comic Con. Going to aim for WonderCon next year for her debut.

Cut three pieces to create the curves in the cheek and jaw areas under the bio skin. The top two are for the cheek, and the bottom is for the lower jaw.

front view .... I will be trimming these pieces down to conform to the under frame before adding the skin.

Added some transitioning wedges that will blend the jawline to the center mouth piece. I will be cutting the back side down around the jaw and cheek area to show more of the half-mask in the next post.
