Suki's Honda S2000: i started with Tamiya's S2000 roadster and added the body kit and printed my own decals







Fast & Furious 3: Toyko Drift
Sam's Mitsubishi Evo: I used Fujimi Evo 9 rather than AMT F&F kit (which was hideous) I only used their decals.

Sam's Monte Carlo: AMT F&F kit, but i changed out the engine and wheels with a Nascar kit for better accuracy.

Always been a jap car fan and fan of the movies and though I wouldn't go as far as some of the styling (especially the body art, did put neons on the underside of my R34 for a laugh at a show once) on any I've owned, I really like the end results you've produced! Great effort on aiming for screen used cars. Loving the decals on Suki's S2K!! What we're they printed on?

The home decals are printed on my crappy canon pixma printer on MicroMark decal paper. If you print them yourself, you have to let it dry (i usually wait 7 days) and then you have to seal them (i use dullcote) then let it dry thougholy before applying them (another 24 hours).

Started work on the next step in my F2 lineup, with Orange Julius (or 0RAN63 JUL1U5 :rolleyes). This car needs custom decals as well as custom bodykit. trivia: this RX7 is the same one that Dom had in Fast 1 (another car to do), which was repainted for the second movie. For those who have seen the movie, but don't remember him, he's the one that 'dis Suki then bailed on the bridge jump.



The kit is 1/24 Tamiya RX-7 factory stock kit. it's curbside, meaning no engine. which is odd, because all it needs is a part or two to complete an engine. Time for a Parts box 13B?
I started with the bodykit, which is made from sheet styrene, with a bit of putty to blend it in. It's basically about adding shapes to make up the various areas of the bodykit.

After adding a few strips to make the airdam, i added a flat piece to the underside.

I shaped to fill in parts to make the profile and glued them on



Side skirts were made from very thin sheet, this allows me to bend it in and out. if i was doing it again, i'd do it from solid styrene pieces instead of one flat sheet. You can see it wrinkled where the glue met the clamp.





next is on to the hood scoops, then paint.

Nice builds. Definitely awesome. Say, if you're ever interested in doing the Honda Civics from the first film, there's a guy I know who did a nice "Glow" effect for the three models he did. His name is Spencer, and you can check out the model/glow effect here at his page for the models.

Oh, cool! I didn't know you know him. But he pretty much uses glow paint to replicate the under glow for the Hondas. Since some of the vehicles used in the film often have under glow, I figured Spencer's idea could be useful for you.
