Farscape costumes?

Does anyone here have Farscape costumes. If so, I would

peacekeeper commando i did AGES ago. Had a friend sew the jacket, most of the costume is long gone now though.

I love my farscape outfit, its my just relax and still be in costume, costume.

The pulse pistol is easy enough to find on ebay, search for pulse pistol.
The holster I found on ebay as well, it was 100 bucks, and although it looks pretty good, I'm not all that happy with the quality.
I don't recall the seller.
As for vests and jackets, take a look here at pendragon leather, as well they have been at dragoncon the last few years if you ever happen to be there.

That is a fabulous costume. It's a shame about the holster it looks pretty nice.

If you didn't have any joy with Pendragon, then I've found another leather maker that will make a Crichton style vest - and far cheaper than Pendragon. Haven't ordered mine yet -but can let you know if you're interested. PM me.

The person that sells replicas of the season 3-4 holster on ebay, also has a lot of the original gear, and is willing to do replica costumes. I contacted them a little over a year, ago and they sent me a price list, but I can't find it right now. I do recall their prices are around the same as Pendragon, but the items were a little more accurate, and they offered them in both leather, or vinyl, for those on a budget.

I want to do a farscape costume. Other than Pendragon (Mad Girl Clothing branch of them anyways) does anyone know where to find patterns for the stuff? I tried on Pendragons Farscape stuff at DragonCon 2012 and the size that is long enough for me is rather too large around. I also have a buddy who is thinner than me and tops me height wise by 6 inches who I would love to get into peacekeeper gear.

Guess I can chime in on this thread now. I just finished my first Farscape costume for Niagara Falls Comic Con, one of Aeryn's season 1 outfits. Met a few Scapers at the con but sadly (though not unexpected) no one else was in a Farscape costume. Need to find a good location and get better pictures after I do a few tweaks, but overall I'm happy with how it turned out and the contacts I got to alter my eye color. All the crazy stupid details are in the vest too, they're just not very visible in the photos. And after reviewing reference image after reference image, one of the best references for this costume was her action figure. lol

I'm still trying to save up for a Pendragon set, myself - but they've got a booth at the local ren faire and I can get any concerns taken care of directly. I can second that etsy store, thats pretty much the lone place for a holster. There's also this pulse pistol from an RPF member if I remember correctly:

I asked Magnoli about doing the PK pants and it wouldn't be a problem, though its still sadly out of my budget at the moment. I was really hoping to have it done in time for Space City Con to meet Gigi Edgley....

aetherdeus - Yeah, Pendragon's stuff looks nice but I know they're not totally accurate as far as their Aeryn pieces go - definitely has the look, but I want mine closer. ;-) I haven't looked much at their Crichton stuff, so I can't really speak to that.

Indy Magnoli - I'd been in contact with Straycatt when he commissioned you to create the one for his wife and it looks perfect! That coat is a piece I really would love, not just for costumes but for fall/spring wear too...I just have to save up. It really is beautiful work and I'm looking forward to contacting you eventually to create one for me!

That coat is amazing. It is now my wife's go to coat, when the weater permits. I can't recommend it enough.

I made a Scorpy Costume (took it to Dragoncon in 2014) and Have a Jool costume planned for '16
(be warned i'm a really really short Scorpius/harvey!)
