Hate it. The last time I wasted this much money on software, I made the mistake of purchasing the visually striking, yet obscenely boring and repetitive FarCry2...
In my opinion, don't waste your time.
(Please note I am legally obligated not to disclose HOW I have played it, but can state that I played for about two hours and gave up out of disgust....long story....that I cannot disclose....)

The game is amazing. Played a few hours last night. It's one of the better FPS games to come out in a while. Interesting characters, beautiful graphics, and the gameplay is an absolute blast. The guns feel right, hefty, like they actually pack a punch. None of that pea-shooter stuff. You can either run in guns blazing, or use stealth. And stealth actually works. The controls are precise, and tight. Can't say much about the story yet, but it's alright so far, just slow. The AI is pretty good, unpredictable, and challenging. Also, I've never played an FPS that had platforming that worked so well. Climbing, jumping, and exploring is actually fun. There's all kinds of "hidden packages" you can find, but instead of being pointless things you pick up, they're actually notes from the WWII era of the island, which adds a surprising amount of backstory and history, and makes you actually want to find them all.
While I've only played about 3 and a half hours so far (had to be up early for work), I can tell you, the game is FUN. So far, it's feeling like it could be one of the best sandbox games ever.

I agree with you. I got to play it last night for about 4 hours and I loved it. It was very smooth to get a handle on the controls. The story so far is good IMO. I have no regrets about buying this game.
How do you like the driving in the game? I think it is amazing. Every vehicle is a blast to drive especially the jet skis and the ATV's.

That's awesome. So she does the voice acting for the character then right? I haven't come across her character yet unless she is an extra that hangs out in our village, either way, I will be sure to look for her.
A friend of mine is in the game. Not sure of the characters name but shes wearing a white top with a neckerchief. Shes also Anja in the Modern Warfare Frozen Crossing series.

i have been playing it for around a week 1 handed and so far have managed to upgrade all my crafted items to the max except one.
here's my tip, find all the radio towers first as well as hunt on the way. the take out the various enemy camps. leave the story till later after you are kitted out. it makes for alot more fun in the stealth tactic arena. superb and definitely better than black ops. although i only ever played that for the zombie modes anyways lol
also the downloaded extras are all fantastic. hope they make more.

Thanks for the advice. So far I have unlocked 3 radio towers and done some of the story. I mostly wander around messing with things and looking for money, hunting and riding vehicles like crazy lol. I do want to upgrade my items so I will be doing that tonight.

Oh ok. Gotcha. I noticed that. I have unlocked a coupe of new moves but nothing too fancy. I do like the stealth apporach more than going in guns blazing.

I'm going to wait to hear people's opinions. I got FarCry 2 after it got great reviews and it was a lousy game. I never even played through it again. The only cool thing in that was the way fire was modeled and how it behaved in game.

That's awesome. I wil need to try that out lol. I love the rock throwing idea. I use it constantly to distract the pirates. One time I accidently threw a rock and it hit the pirate in the head, he went and told other pirates, they sounded the alarm and I failed the mission for that so don't hit the pirates lol. :lol

Here she is in the game, they did actions on video then digitized them or something or other in Brazil if memory serves.
