Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them... paper thread

Thanks, Kevin, you did a real good work on the poster. Sorry, I don't want to join.

Thanks, lynx for the posters. I look forward to seeing more.

Here you go guys. These props are pretty big because it's an envelope for a wand. The height of a finished envelope is around 44cm.
It's a horrible size to print, because unfolded, the size is 73cm by 25cm. If anyone is going to print this too, show me! I'm very curious to see your results :D

Excellent work, TB-7021. I really appreciate you sharing these props!

I have two questions I hope will be answered in the movie and/or in the Wizardry book. 1st, what is the significance of the different colors, and 2nd, where do you answer the questions and sign, under the large flap?

TB-7021 this is a great job. thank you for providing the sizes also. i guess printing on a cardboard will be a better idea rather than paper. thank you so much.

Good questions, my guess is that there is a separate form for the information that needs to be included. If there is something on the inside of the flap, I will add it once more info is out.
No clue about the colors.

Since it is folded like an envelope, I would advise using regular paper or print it as a poster and than cut and fold it.
Cardboard would make it way to stiff and difficult to fold.

Here is my completed wand permit application and my wand. Thanks again, TB-7021! I printed it on card stock. I first made a copy of the image @ 100 percent, saved it in Windows Paint and then broke the image into 5 parts, 3 for the main envelope and the 2 flaps. I butted the pieces flush with each other, then glued a backing strip at each seam. It came out real good and very sturdy.

wow it looks very good indeed! TB-7021 had done an amazing job obviously. btw your wand looks so nice :D you did it yourself?

TB-7021, would one be able to go to a place like FedEx Kinkos to print it out at it's proper size? And is it possible to print it out on a sheet of cardstock that size? I only have a basic printer at my home.

Lynx, thanks! I bought the wand, and it was bare wood, then I stained it the way I wanted it to look.

Great job TB-7021! Thank you very much for sharing your permits. They're delightful and beautifully done!

Could the colors have something to do with the Ilvermorny houses?

I do not even own a basic printer. There's a lot of companies that can print it for you. I use a website that is based in my country, so my orders arrive within a few days.

@TB-7021 thanks so much for the files. I printed mine out on a giant plotter paper size 8x18.
Wow, I wish I had a printer like that! Thanks for sharing the results :D
