fantastic 4 thing costume

I want to do a fantastic 4 thing costume. what im needing help with is how to make the mask/helmet so i can move the mouth a little to talk. i planned on using spray foam and then carving it. Then seal it and paint it. same goes for the body and legs still need to be able to bend the arms and legs. any advice will greatly be appreciated.. thanks

i saw a dude at a con who did a hell boy and the gauntlet out of insulation board. i would imagine you could use that same technique. rather than the messy messy insulation foam

Go to YouTube and find Gryphern's tutorial on making a mask (her's is a werewolf) that moves with your mouth. That should help. Good luck on this!

On the hunters lair there are tutorials ( huntorials) for making masks using foam ( seat cusion type ). You could use the same techniques to creat a thing mask and body suit.

The youtube videos are pretty impressive. I can imagine that the working mouth device could easily be adapted for a Thing costume.

just checked this out. it is so simple its awesome! i hope i can remember this if i ever need to make a mask like this
