Fallout New Vegas- Elite Riot Gear build

About a year ago I posted a thread starting an elite riot gear build. That build had the proportions all wrong so I started over completely from scratch. Its almost finished, so here's some pics of the process so far. Excuse the huge photo dump. Any feedback is appreciated.

-This was me completely redoing the faceplate out of fiberglass and tons of bondo.

-at the same time i started to make the Anti Material Rifle out of old pieces I had laying at home (nerf gun, pvc, zip ties, wood, etc)

-Painted AMR (missing scope)

- Vest and AMR

-weathered duster

- The other armor pieces, all made from cardboard, fiberglass, and bondo

i really enjoy the post apocalyptic stuff. Reminds me a bit of Metro 2033 too.

I bought the riding jacket off ebay, but I had to heavily modify it to fit my needs. I took out a lot of the unnecessary fabric and cut a large hole in the back where the backpack mount will go. I'm considering hiding a water bladder in said backpack and having the tube feed through the bottom of the helmet for easy hydration.

the weathering detail is awesome! how did you get it to look that great?

All the weathering was actually done using cinnamon! I find that it gives the rust a great texture and can easily be applied in large or small quantities depending on the amount of rust you want. I also did several black washes and dry brushed some details in. Painted mostly using testors enamels, and used valspars clear coat to seal in the cinnamon as well as protect the paint.

Very cool! Was that duster bought new and weathered or was it used already? It looks really good!

The duster was brand new when I bought it, so I went to work on it with acetone, sandpaper, and good ol dragging it behind a car.

The Elite Riot Gear is my second favorite Fallout armor ever. When I saw what the armor looked like in comparison to the NCR Ranger armor, I went nuts. And combined with a mod that shapes the armor around the female avatar's shape I was in heaven.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. Right now I'm just working on installing some fans in the helmet along with some lights for a bit more wow factor
