FYI, that play session we did in the jail. You were 100% invisible to me in-game, except for your name tag. So sorry if I kept losing track of you.

I found out that my awesome camp spot, is right next to the only repeatable behemoth spawn!

(Taking out his knees is a bit of a cheat, but he takes a fair about of damage to kill solo)

A couple more fun moments. A nice pic with Bottle. Cappy was nowhere to be found.

And I found a random bomb. Talk about random. And I even detonated it. You interact with it, and it will give you a choice of three wires to cut. The one I cut made funny noises, so I ran. Then it went badda-boom.

And man, this game take lots of opportunity to give you big grand views. Here's a couple I bagged.

You are going to have a problem with weight after a while, lots of power armor sets to collect.
I only use my excavator power armor for the extra weight capacity. Otherwise I prefer the legendary armor effects I can get on regular armor, and I hate the clunky walk you end up with in power armor.

I did have my first experience with a genuine griefer yesterday. A player who was doing nothing but traveling from owned workshop to owned workshop, then contesting each workshop only for the sake of engaging in PVP with the other, killing them with a bugged explosive shotgun, then leaving once the owner gave up. I can't wait for private servers.

I'm gonna give EmmaInCandyland the T-45d suit. I want to see if the Vault Tec paintjob will stay applied once I give the pieces to her. I also have a maxed out perk card to repair armor to 200 percent. I want to see if I do said repairs on the armor if it will still have double the durability when I give it to her (though she wouldn't be able to re-repair it that high without the maxed out perk card herself). She's still at a level where she can make use out of that suit.

I actually have four full armors, honestly. I have two full T-51b suits, I just didn't picture it because the paint jobs look so cool.

Ironically, I found the Nuka Cola paintjob today, and applied it to the spare suit. It's funny, from what I've heard it's a pain in the butt to get the key to the dome the Nuka Cola suit plans are in. I was wandering around, and it was already open, I guess from somebody else. I simply walked in, and got the plan. Easy peasy.

I only plan to keep two or three suits. I don't think we're ever gonna be able to make the grand power armor rooms we made in FO4. And honestly, what purpose did they all serve? Except for decoration. Typically a player runs with the best armor they have. I'm always in the Quantum X-01 suit, so what good are the other anyways.

Nah, two or three seems good.

So, with the right plans, I can make Power Armor. Mechanized armor. Nearly equal to a tank.

You mean to tell me that I can't fix up this ridiculously nice Fusion Flea? I mean, c'mon. It even has a toolbox next to it. Are you kidding me? This thing looked so nice, it probably doesn't need repair in the first place. And you know we'd make use of it too. Seems like I'm always walking.

Curious to see how that goes. Based on experience so far, my feeling is no. Girlfriend got the limited-time Blackbird paint from the Atom Shop before I'd started playing, so I missed out on that. So she decoed a piece and transferred it to me to see, and the paint app didn't come across with it. Might be different if it's one the other player owns or can buy, even if they lack the skills/materials to craft it... And definitely curious about the Condition thing.

Well, I tried to drop the parts on the ground for her to pick up, and I got a message that said they would be destroyed if I dropped them. They would not show up when we initiated trade, either.

The only other thing I can think is to equip them to an unclaimed armor chassis and her loot them off of it.

That sucks. Thanks Bethesda.

Not cool I can't gift out the paintjob parts. How the **** am I supposed to "be the NPC" if I can't trade like a trader? If that's the case, I doubt the condition will transfer over too.

Pretty much. One of many things that makes me scratch my head. Why give plans and recipes value if you can't sell them, except to other players, who I don't charge, because they're friends. I want to be able to craft and sell things. You know -- in-game economy? Like that other good Bethesda MMO, Elder Scrolls Online?

Yup. I've played the game for about 15+ hours I think. had a lot of fun with it, and then just made it to the point where the gameplay wasn't as enjoyable as I needed to keep me going on the story which I loved. I set it aside for when we get private servers, and I can get a mod so I don't have to go looking for materials, which will allow me to pick a play style, have good gear, and go explore the very interesting world they've made, without having to do the busywork.

I'm with Inquisitor Peregrinus , I think this either needed to go full blown MMO with an NPC populace, or go with a matchmaking style of co-op, where you had your own instance on your machine, and you could say "looking to do these quests and explore this area" and people could just join you if they wanted (and vice-versa). If I could log in an look for a list of people doing the same things I'm looking to do, I'd ALWAYS be playing with another person, but as it stands, the odds of someone being on the same server, looking to do the same stuff as me, and even being able to communicate that fact, is near impossible.

This game is gonna be my favorite in a year when I can skip the grind, and explore the world.

I have been playing sice the two or three hours that I was able to play during the beta. For the most part I like it. I have seen the weird glitch where enemies move around without the walk animation. And when light seems to shine through or from cliff sides. I'm carrying too much stuff to fast travel so every time I go by White Springs I think, "why can't I drive one of these golf carts?"
