Hey, you remember those BioWare moments where if something important happened during a quest line that involved one of your companions it would open up a bunch of new options in your future interactions with said companion? Let's enjoy Bethesda's take on that scenario.
Or how about BioWare's romance system where once you romance a specific character, the mechanics plays out like it knows you're in a relationship with that specific character. Character interactions, dialogue options, all that good stuff to show that your PC is in a relationship that matters. Bethesda?
Seriously, look at those options.
1. Hitting on me?
2. Still Grieving
3. Hell no.
4. Some day perhaps.
At this stage In FluffyNinjaLlama's playthrough, their PC is romancing Hancock who is standing right behind her. Not only are there no options to say that you are in fact in a relationship with a Ghoul, but all the other conversation ending pieces lead to either a 'no' for an answer or a "Dead Husband" response. Note how Fluffy selects 'Some day perhaps" and the PC still responds with a grieving statement about getting over the loss of her husband.
When fans of Witcher 3 criticized some of the game's romance options in the game, this is what the developer, CD Projekt Red did.
"We will be addressing this situation by adding/changing some dialogue stuff in the future — more info on this will come later so pardon my scarce input for the time being, This should help with the immersion."
Oh, if only we got that treatment for Fallout 4. At this point, I'd rather pay for DLC that fixes issues like the ones shown above than pay for DLC that does not. But I already paid $30 for the very generous
'$40 dollar value based on nothing' season pass so who knows what will happen.
