Fallout 4

Also getting tired of the attitude from the brotherhood guy who sends you out to clear the commonwealth, you get one piece of dialogue where he apologies for being a jerk, then goes straight back into being one, would it have killed them to record some different dialogue so he doesnt seem like a dick afterwards?

Severe mood swings from taking too much Psycho all the time...

I happened upon a full X01 suit around level 37 near the national guard training yard. At 45 now, occasionally picking up T60 pieces from downed BOS. Haven't found any other X01 yet.

Yeah some guy on youtube was able to find 4 complete X01 suits while roaming and i can't even find parts from Rowdy at this point. Apparently armor is the one thing that doesn't regenerate in locations every few days. The one radar station pretty much gives you an endless supply of mininukes ever few days. I have to admit the limited dialogue is annoying, Cait keeps saying the same 3 lines all the time.

Hey guys, yesterday I noticed something strange on my settlements: It seems a lot of my crops are rotten, I can't select them in normal mode (which I wouldn't expect anyway). In building mode I can't either. Is this caused by a bad settler / crop ratio? And will they be gone at some point or will they stay there forever (taking precious space)?

Just some minor issue I guess, but somehow it bugs me a lot... :(

Half my crops are like that and it's in spots i'd really like to get rid of them since I don't need them anymore. Why you can't rip out old plants is beyond me. Last night I had a ton of mission glitches where the game wouldn't recognize that it needed to trigger a new storyline element and that McCready mission is totally broken still to the point that it won't trigger the very last event needed no matter what I do. I was hoping that would have been fixed in the update but no luck.

Why can't you remove plants? Go into build mode and scrap them. No? As for the rotting - haven't notices, but are they assigned to someone in the settlement?

I guess I've been damn lucky. the only serious glitch i've had is twice in Pip mode and it would not return to the game, forcing me to quit out (PS4). I'm used to the limited conversations having played Fallout3 and NewVegas, but sure, it would be nice for a bit more.

I'm in the high 60s and have most of the main quests at their tipping point. Found 98% of the covers, all the bobbleheads and only need 2 or 3 more companions perks (Danse and Curie are the 2 I know for sure)

No some of the plants won't let you click on them after a while. I think the game is pretty much over for me aside from getting the bobbleheads and magazines. Not sure i'm going to bother with all the companions since there's no real reward for it. That's my biggest issue is I enjoyed replaying the other games and getting achievements as a challenge once i was done with the first playthru but there's so few this time around: none for survival mode or negative/positive karma. Neutral karma was way harder than survival mode for sure.

Edit: Just fast traveled to a site to get a bobblehead and ended up right between two super mutant behemoths, this game loves drop you right in the middle of a mess.

I made a list of various places I stashed loot. In an ice machine here, a cigarette machine there, that sort of thing. Today I finally got around to collecting it and it was all gone. The only annoying part was some power armor pieces.

Yeah pretty much any place that isn't on one of your settlements isn't secure enough to leave stuff. I just got a whole new type of Brotherhood T60 armor today when I got a promotion. Not much of a change over the normal one though just a new paint job as far as I can tell. I keep trying to get that X01 helmet the brotherhood have but i can't get it to come out of the cage like I saw only and Rowdy hasn't had any parts for a while now. On a side note I found a good supply of skeletal remains for my side project, I'm kind of hoping they respawn like other stuff so I can just use that place as my go to.

Regarding the lack of conversation, I just got to the Institute and
I hate that you have such limited dialogue with Shaun. You'd think you would be able to say "Hey the people up there have a big problem with you guys. Your synths are running around killing people. Oh and did you know you're kidnapping people too? Oh and why in the hell haven't you come out and unfrozen your dad yet if you knew where he was?!?!

BTW, how far into the Institute missions can I go if I side with the BoS? I still want to figure out what they're up to.

Scrapping doesn't work on the rotten ones, they never become selectable / highlightable, no matter if in normal or build mode. I am not entirely sure, but I think some settlers were taking care of rotten ones, need to check this the next time I play.

The abilitly of scrapping rotten ones would be a nice idea, you could get wood from the larger ones...

I just picked the lock and sneaked it out.

My sneak isn't that high. I think I've gone about as far as I can on the first playthru now with all the big missions over with. I'm nearly level 90 and my armor collection is nearly done so I started a new game last night until some DLC comes out. I don't know how folks managed to hit level 200 already using just the missions you get handed that are repetitive.

I have an odd thing going on in my armor museum, every once in a while one or two suits of armor get out of alignment by turning sideways even though there's no core in them and they're usually between other suits. It's really odd. I was trying to make a throne area for myself and surround it by bones to give it a conan feel but the stupid bones just flop all over and never set right. Same with those robot model kits, they just do whatever they want instead of staying put like the bobbleheads.

Rotten fruit, flammable perhaps?

Don't know about flammable but I did see a row of corn get mowed down by machinegun turret. I was amused.

A similar issue like the moving object I wish they'd fix is the possibility that some NPC could steal your items. I had a couple Handy models and and eyebot, and occasionally i'd find one on the floor and have to replace it on the shelf I built. Now someone has ran off with my eyebot. I'd also find my magazines all over the floor instead of the wire racks, and hell, someone even ran off with one complete Buttercup horse I had in the house.

Would it work to build a hut that's only accessible by jetpack?

I wonder if the entire map shakes every time one of those helicopters comes crashing down, not just the bit you are stood on, might explain the moving stuff,

I haven't had anyone steal my stuff but those models and even the mini buttercup you can get move around on their own. They need to make a display base like that for the bobbleheads so they lock in place. I think there is some shaking when a vertibird goes down, i know they seem to lose a ton of them even when you're not in the area as i randomly find crashed ones where they never were before, I think the game has battles going even when you're nowhere near it. I saw one fly into a memorial statue and bounce off too so I think the AI's a bit drunk. I don't see why you couldn't make a building that could only be reached by jet, you could build it with a ladder at first and then remove that. I forgot to inventory my good suits of power armor but given how i rebuild every 3 days I'll get around to it lol.

some stuff gets pushed around by settlers, but stuff going missing is most likely just falling thru the floor or into things. the games keeping track of 1000s of items after a while and it doesnt take much to get glitchy. skyrim was the same way

Honestly at this point I'm about ready to start shooting settlers, I always wanted to bump off that Marcy lady that moves into Sanctuary and has the attitude.
