Fallout 4

Piper is EASILY the best person to romance first. Her "Gift of the Gab" perk has allowed me to level up MUCH quicker. You get an XP bonus for every new place you discover as well as all conversation based solutions.

Considering I started with the game 2 weeks later than everyone else due to shipping mess up I'm at a respectable level 33 thanks to that perk (and always "sleeping" with my companion just prior to finishing a quest for that boost as well).

Lol with Piper around it really is sleeping your way to the top. I got synth Curie with me right now. I got a list of all the marked missions but the unmarked ones i don't think there's a list of yet. I have to say that so far the vaults in this game are pretty lackluster, nothing creepy or overly freaky like in the past. I think VT kept their super freaky stuff in more rural areas. I do love that VT never kept the same designs for anything: so far there's 4 different styles of vaults/layouts, and even the stealthboys aren't the same. Plus I noticed the Boston vaults have suits in boxes where some older ones had extruders that must have made them on demand.
I do find it annoying that after you find a source of a radio signal and shut it down it tends to reset like all the item spawns in the game.

I wish i could replace all the people in Sanctuary with my companions, they'd complain alot less that that Marcy chick. Don't ask me why but i bought the house for sale in Diamond City even though i'll probably never use it. This game has more paranormal/Lovecraftian stuff in it than any of the others. One thing I've noticed is this game is really good at showing the human side of things with the notes and stuff you find of folks trying to fine one another or getting trapped someplace while doing their work and not even knowing what happened before they died. I found a radio signal that involves a guy underground that I'm assuming happened the day of the war and he had no idea why he got stuck. It reminds me of this movie: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_World,_the_Flesh_and_the_Devil_(1959_film)

I feel a bit of a cad, every time someone idolizes me, I move on to the next person.

:lol

I think I'm going with Curie next, then that's all female companions romanced (including Magnolia if she counts). I travel with Piper when I want to be nice and Cait when I want to be a jerk, so this polygamist gives equal time to his wives. ;)

Only thing is that Curie's voice is annoyingly stereotypical.

Oddly enough the girl who voices Curie has a mom who is french and she went to a french school growing up lol. I think it being stereotypical is actually a choice they made since Curie and the others like her are meant to be nanny robots. It's sort of how french maids all sound the same way too. The folks in 2077 weren't subtle lol

Oh I know that's the case. But as a Bergeron (half French) that accent is just SO annoying. :lol

Speaking of Curie she's now running around with a battle axe as my partner, she just randomly picked it up off the ground (it's an elite item) and took out a ghoul with it when I wasn't looking lol

Right, how to I get that thieving Preston out of my power armour? I took it off after doing the castle (to save the core as I explored) and as soon as my back was turned the thieving sod was running about in my flame job power armour...

Talk to any follower and there's an option that says to exit power armor. I'm guessing that doesn't work for NPCs. I always take the fusion core out when I park it somewhere.

I've never had them run off with my armor thankfully. So apparently the fallout universe had a form of online bbs system back in 1968 yet things didn't improve much by 2077. If you guys are into the lore of the series check out the Boston Bugle building when you find it.

All my armors are on repair racks so that might be why they never go missing.
Wasteland weirdness and my new triple level armory. First level is all T45s-T60s, second is going to be one off repaints of various plus the X01 models. My addiction to collecting things took over with the armor, i have a complete set of BOS knight armor from model a-f too lol

Speaking of the BoS, what's with them in this game? I just started where the
Prydwen shows up. The Prydwen flies in with the loudspeakers saying they come in peace, we're your friends, etc. So after that the BoS quartermaster tasks you with forcing farmers to give up part of their crops "by any means necessary". WTH?
Then when you ask Danse about Adams AFB he calls the Enclave a splinter group, not the remains of the govt. and doesn't even mention the Lone Wanderer's part in the attack. Yeah technically the LW was an honorary BoS member in Fallout 3, but it would have been cool if he said with a assistance from the LW.

It's the Brotherhood rewriting history as the new leadership has gone back to the west coast ways of doing things and ignoring everything Elder Lions taught him when raising him. The Brotherhood sees itself as the real continuation of the US government and had always seen the Enclave as fakes just like the enclave saw them as fakes. Honestly the two groups really aren't that much different. Oh i just added another floor to my base and i may see about extending the walls out a bit.

You know i'm not as worried about the synths as all these crazy ass 200 year old robots who suddenly have personalities and minds of their own lol

Quite frankly, I'm a bit pissed the BoS are such ******** in this. :( I mean in F1 and F2, they were a little hard core, but they weren't really quite genocidal ********. In F3 I was happy to see the Lyons way of handling things, sure, still killing Supermutants, but they weren't shaking down farmers for supplies. FNV they were a little rough again, but damn, they're nothing like F4's ********. That Maxson kid grew up to be a ******.

I'm also a little pissed that there doesn't seem to be ANY way that you can keep more than 2 factions happy. At best it looks like BoS and Minutemen, in any other case it looks like you become enemies of everyone else. That doesn't give us much options for a truly 'happy ending' to the game.

Yeah the BOS has gotten really hardcore compared to the past but i'm thinking this is what they would have been like in 1 and 2 if they'd had more tech space to develop the storyline and characters. Actually this BOS reminds me more of the one from Fallout Tactics. Young Maxson is so far from what Lions and his daughter taught that it makes me wonder if he's the same person.
