Fallout 3 weapons!

Got some free time coming up, I think I want to make something from the Fallout series. Preferably a weapon in case raiders try moving in on me .
Just wondering if anyone has got any good ideas or could show me some of there own, should be really interesting to see what people have come up with.
I was thinking about doing something simple at first like the 10mm pistol or I quite like the design of the uncommon 12.7mm SMG (below) from New Vegas and both of them are quite blocky in shape so should prove quite simple but have a nice retro-futuristic-fallout feel.

Great idea! I'm a huge Fallout fan and would love to see more replicas, especially of the weapons. I hope you post your progress............and sell some casts of your work lol

I have started the 12.7mm SMG (with silencer) sort of, I am working with two of my friends... it's more fun that way and with teamwork we can make a dream work.
First off needed to work out the measurements, did it using tablespoons I found in game and line them up against the weapon to get a rough idea.
Now I need to go buy some junk.

I'll probably be casting my AER9 if you would be interested. You could even mod it into an AER14.

Couple of early shots: just used blu-tack to see how the nozzle and sights look, need to sand down the wood and build the frame underneath the gun now.

Here are some shots of a the gun with the handle bit (I forget the name) stolen from a toy gun, need some way of making a trigger now because the trigger on the toy gun was not right. Also added two thin layers of MDF on either side with indents cut into them already.

If you are willing to expand your selection to Fallout: New Vegas there's a unique 9mm pistol known as Maria which is elaborately decorated.

I too have thought about making this weapon from the fallout universe. I have made quite a few props from fallout myself such as the AER14, AEP7, gatling laser and elctron charge pack, as well as the silenced 22. pistol, ballistic fist , Paladin toaster and Moira Mole Rat Repellent stick. I would love to see what you use to go about finishing this. I myself would use mdf to get the base shape of it, then some apoxie sculpt for the foregrip and for the muzzle, I would myself use the connecting male end of a water hose and fill it in with bondo. I like what you guys can think of. I have no funds and no support... and no tiem to do this awsome stuff. While i have done some minor mods and things of that nature, this stuff takes tiem and effort. You guys put 100% into these things and get it all back out. Thanks for doing this and showing the world!
