Falcon repaint

Hey guys,

I'm currently in the process of repainting my Revell "Easy Kit" (sigh) Falcon.
I've got the technique pretty much laid out but what I need would be a view of the underside of the Falcon. I got some good top-views for finding the correct placements for the gray and red coloured armor plates, but I'm not sure about the underside. Are there coloured plates at all?

And would you think it would be complicated to add some lighting to it (as far as I remember, there's some spotlights on and between the mandibles) I'm no electronics-crack, but I guess wiring up some LEDs to a small battery would be doable.

Any suggestions?

There are coloured plates on the underside.
Below is the decaling guide for the FineMolds kit.

Hope that is some help.

Thank you! It sure does! The particularities (inaccuracies) of the Easy Kit will make some of the plates look different, but at least I'll get the number of plates and their placements right.

I'm generally unhappy with the concept of "Easy Kits", but unfortunately, anything else is not readily available. I hope I can get my hands on the new 1/48 X-Wing by FineMolds soon...

No problem.
I am currently working on the 1/48 FineMolds kit, I just hope they bring out a TIE and Y-Wing in the same scale.

Same here. Allthough: "...a TIE..." ??? I sure hope you mean "...all of the TIEs..." :love

That's what I meant for sure. :lol
Hope you are gonna share pics of your Falcon when she's finished.

Will do that, allthough it could take a while. I'm considering finally investing into an Airbrush set so I can get the weathering (exhaust holes etc) done. But I gotta do some saving for that first... :(
