What happened to the FB group? It used to be one of my groups but it is not in my groups list anymore and I've tried searching for it and can't find it.

Long gone, from what I recall to much nonsense going on there and no one modded it

I believe FB cracked down on a lot of replica prop groups and pages, due to copyright infringements.

This is what Art posted back when the page was removed:

“Sadly, it seems that the group is gone for good, similar to the RPF Facebook page (which had 400,000 fans at its removal.)

Here is the message we received from Facebook.

As a result of detection by our technology, we disabled your Group, Group: The Replica Prop Forum. By using Facebook, you have agreed to our Terms of Service, which prohibit people from taking any action on Facebook that infringes or violates someone else’s intellectual property rights or otherwise violates the law, as stated in Section 3.2 of the Facebook Terms of Service: Facebook

Content that was posted on your Group was removed multiple times for violating our policies on intellectual property. We have previously warned you that if your Group continued to violate our policies on intellectual property, your Group would be disabled. Each time that something was removed from your Group, the responsible posting user should have received an email and/or a notification containing information about the removal.

We have appealed but also appealed for the page and got nowhere with it. The fact is, Facebook does not want to entangle itself in any IP claims, and it is just easier to shut down a problematic group than to address the issues.”

But why can I see the group when I click in the first post?
This is is not about the RPF book, it is about scifiprops.

The title of this thread is misleading since it's actually for the Scifi Props Facebook group.

Oh crap…. I thought they were discussing the RPF page. The title of the thread is just “FACEBOOK GROUP”, and since it is here in the RPF, I assumed they were addressing the RPF one. Lol
