if you it motorized then you 'll need to find a way to make it hard and strong so that it wont move with the servos. i suggest you to make on regular pep with resin and bondo
also with foam you wont have very nice detail such as with the resin and bondo one

Use search and search for "rondo" docholiday has a good thread about that method. There are many others.
a good thick layer of paper machy on the inside of foam helmets makes them very strong and heard wearing it would be possible to motorise one of these im no good with circuts so iv never done it. heres a video however of how i used magnets to make a removable faceplate tha attaches to the top of the helmet iron man helmet custom mades form foam with removable faceplate - YouTube
so this is my hinged eva helmet so far. i paper machi the inside for stiffness but found it was coming away from the sealed side of the mask so then had to pull it all out and hot glue it back in. then i made the hinge wich will be a pull sys on a bike brake cable when i put the servo in any thoughts will be a help
just got my bike brake cables today and glued them to the roof of my helmet and hinge sys it works great hope the servo will be strong enough to pull the cable tho any sugestions onwhat type of servo i need the cables pritty stiff :confused
