Europa Report (Post-release)

Yeah, but a few spots were real WTF moments for me:
An EVA is done by one person alone while everyone watches?
The crew VOTES on a course of action?

Yep. I had a few gripes but you have to compare to what has been tried to be passed off on us as supposed professional crews lately.
Though, I might cut a little slack because that this was not a NASA managed mission, and therefore maybe they chose procedures with more risk
then NASA might and dial back on a commander figure. I think it was all to add drama, which is the same sin as the idiot crews we have seen lately, but just to a far lesser degree.

I watched this a couple weeks ago. Talk about boring...Ship crashes, crew sit around, and then sit around some more in one room with the worst dialog ever. Not to mention terrible acting. It reminded me of some cheap syfy flick.

Saw this today- I really liked it. You can tell when the writers and film makers really care about their movie. I would recommend it. (unless you couldn't stay awake through 2001... In which case I'd suggest seeing STID again instead...)

I was hoping there would be copies of the mission patches out there somewhere, but nobody is making them yet...

Just got around to watching this yesterday. I loved it, right up until the last minute. Which is to say they went a little farther than I'd have liked them to go for a movie that seems so grounded in realism (despite that I'm sure the space nerds are boiling over with inaccuracies to point out). Highly recommended!

A mediocre outing. The breaks in sound visuals were nice at first but overdone and the ending was telegraphed far too early. No surprise at all. Some good elements as well, but I'd hoped for better. Still worth a shot if you've been interested.

I sure would want more grounded in reality solar system exploration/colonization tales.
Rare as hen's teeth these days, everything must have faster than light travel, aliens and spacecraft fighting.
I enjoy that too but I see a huge missing gap of fictional future human history that is skipped over.
I've even thought what do I have to do? Write one myself!
I have concept ideas, it's not hard to think of them really but a gifted writer is needed.
I think a TV series would be possible with the right talent.

I know Space Command is coming up at some point but even they don't plan to stay in that era long from what I've read.
One of the reasons Drexler moved on I understand.
