Estes Tie X1 and Revell Tie fighters...Done

Well... finally finished my Estes model rocket conversion for the Tie X1.
I used mostly parts from the MPC/AMT kit with a scratch built rear end.
I had to lower the hyperdrive box and rebuild most of it...what a pain.
The cockpit is from a tie interceptor kit I had lying around.
Throw in some scribed panels (cuz the kit had none) and it turned out pretty good I think.

My plan is to scratch build deathstar tiles to use as a base (not started on that yet).
And all three together...

I think the scale looks really good between all three ships. Pretty close to 1/48 I think.

Let me know what you think.

Nicely done! The dimensions on the TIE X-1 look far more accurate than any other kit I've seen. :thumbsup

Very NICE:thumbsup! I had bought several of the rocket kits with the same thought in mind. Never did start it yet. It"s on my to do list. I agree, the size relation to the fighters is perfect. Can't wait to see it with the Death Star panels.
