So, while at a standstill with Obi Wan saber parts, I picked up an airsoft plastic mauser for a penny! So, I thought, I'd turn it into my favorite blaster....roughly. I'm not quite good enough with tools to get everything exact to the mm, so I work with what I can. Here are some starter pics of the scope and gun

The plastic barrel won't fit on the orange part on the stock, the cheap japanese plastic must be a little off it will only squeeze on part way, so I'm not sure what I'll do about the little bit of Barrel I'll need before the flash hider.

Also I'm not sure how to cut the little piece of tube under the cone of the scope to fit. I'm trying to eyeball it, and failing, maybe I'm just tired haha

Currently looking for inexpensive parts or ideas to form the rest!

The scope is mostly glued up! I used that gray tube for the front sight (it has a little lens in it) and for the tube on the side, the back is ground out for a quarter inch thick military/physics surplus lens to slide right in. I'll post pictures after the Bondo in the fender washer dries.

All I have to do is glue the front on, the little bit

hahaha There was more to that post! It cut off mid Sentence, sorry guys, I don't remember what the rest was....weird

I bondo'd the hole in the fender washer and glued a few things up. I moved outside to try to avoid fumes from epoxy and bondo, but ended up getting nauseous and headachey...maybe It's cause I was sitting down? aaanyways, some progress made :)

A question for previous blaster builders, if you screw the scope mount into the side of the gun, I would assume the magazine would not fit anymore, what do you do?

Clutch & Campbell, I wanted to thank you for the kind words and support, in all my excitement I forgot to acknowledge you two, and for that I am sorry :D

I cut out a slot from the magazine so the bolt i screwed in wouldnt obstruct the removal of the mag. Worked like a charm.
The best of luck on the rest of your build.

This is exactly why I joined The RPF! I would love to build this exact replica. Is it ESB? It looks great to me so far. I have just been spray painting cheap rubies blasters from ebay for my kids and would love to start something like this for myself. Please keep the pictures coming!

Thanks everyone! Not much work lately, but here's another shot just for updates sake :d

here are some updates :) My dad and I painted over the silver measure? counter? tab on top of the gun, the scope and a scratch made scope mount..some random thin wood I found in the basement and a right angle bracket for...window blinds? I think. It'd the top center one in this photo

I set the scope mount up backwards, so I unscrewed it all, turned it around, bondo'd some of it, and re-painted it. Here's a test fit, the paint is still a little sticky.

I already trimmed up the scope mount a little this wood keeps splitting, so I may put a spacer behind it, or glue it in place and be done with that part. Muzzle and decals next.

lol this is a strange project
