I think people that are buying multiples might be disappointed if they’re planning on cashing in on ebay. These might not go for as much as TOS model aftermarket.
Yeah I had mentioned earlier if too many are preordered it won't be as lucrative. They really advertised it this time and I have a feeling it's going to go to at least 5k. It's All over Instagram etc. I don't begrudge anyone for wanted to resell them. The thing I'm worried about is the more they have to produce the more QC issues we will see. It's almost always the case with detailed diecast products. So far as much as 1000 has been ordered for resell.

I've ordered two, but that's mainly because mine will need to make its way to the UK and returning a defective one will be virtually impossible because of the expense of sending it back and then paying to get a replacement sent out again, so I've bought two to ensure I get a good one.
I plan to sell the second one if the first is good, but if the first is bad then I'll just send it back for a refund and keep the second one.

Well I had to send mine back last year just because of a little chip. I asked for touch up paint but they wanted me to send the lower hull back.lol The second one I got the paint was almost perfect but after a year I noticed a tiny little chip near the bridge dome. Not a big deal. But the neck of the ship is a bit loose when the Saucer is separated. Again not a big deal but if I had told them that they probably would have sent me out another one. Lol
So dont be surprised if both have a little flaw here or there. Just pick out the best one.

Yeah they were very good about replacing bad ones, which is great. Mine isn't perfect either, but its flaws are insignificant enough that I was happy to keep it. However I know that quite a few people had bigger problems, which I wouldn't want to deal with.

Man I hope you’re wrong about quality decline…but yeah you’re probably right. Hopefully the TOMY gang will run a really tight SHIP…pun intended…and that things will go smoothly from start to finish. Highly unlikely, but you never know.
So maybe getting a mid batch would be better? Anyways I’m feeling hopeful this time. The TOMY team knows how important the REFIT is to us fans, so screwing up is no option! lol

This one will be even better and having more funds which will allow for a better set up, and more quality control, and investment as they now know they can do more of these.

Well not trying to be negative just realistic. But this has been the experience for me whenever I buy anything diecast. Think about this stuff moving down an assembly and paint line. If anything is hand painted or assembled on these there are bound to be mistakes as the day wears on. I used to buy exclusive diecast cars and this was almost always the case. The more limited stuff you would barely hear complaints about quality. The bigger produced items there were many more paint flaws etc. Not saying this will happen for sure but it's been my experience. Tbh I don't think anything this big will be without a blemish here or there.

Everybody knows the so called screw hole covers are actually commissary, and maintenance material loading ports, as with all ships there has to be access ports for loading the necessary stuff for a 5 yr mission. No ship is without them lol not to mention if you couldn’t access the electronics for future repair, you’d be extremely mad.

I want my Refit next to Reliant, so as the Star Trek VI battle between the Cloaked BOP and the A is so amazingly awesome, I am thinking if they did a Bird of Prey I might just have to get it.

I think the already said an A won't happen since it's basically the same ship. So probably D but I will skip that one. I want something in scale with the TOS or Refit. My diamond select D is good enough for that one.
My understanding was they all but admitted they will do the A as it would only require a paint and markings mod. It likely won't be right away, but I can't see them not doing it.
It's all good. One way or another a lot of Tomy goodness is coming our way to drain our bank accounts.
Form the video I thought it was implied that was why they would not do it because I there is not much difference. I could have misheard. At any rate I would not buy it. It would be basically the same thing.i would not mind buying small versions of the refit's but a $700 piece with such minimal differences is not something I will sink money into. I'm guessing a lot of people would agree.
