I've begun to build and paint this kit for a client.

It not finished yet. Still some painting to do. The body and the suit isn't glued together yet.

^ Oh good lord.

I thought I was doing just such a thing. The kit is accurate. That much is apparent. :lol:lol

Maybe you don't understand American humor. :confused

That's looking incredible. I really love how you have created the sweat patches on the vest. I have never seen that done before, and it looks excellent. (y)thumbsup:thumbsup

Thanks for the comments to all of you.

The flashtones are airbrushed. Details on her face like eyes and mouth are handpainted with a fine brush.

Please keep comments to areas like the buildup or the paintjob. I have no need for comments like that. Nor do I think any one else have.

I do! But I think I would have said "rasins"... But really, awsome build/paint. If you don't mind me asking, where can I get one of these kits? Thanks

Khan was right.
It is very cold in space.

Damn, why isnt this sold as a pre-painted commercial statue?

Lambert in front of the Alien would be another winner.

Or Parker charging in with the flamethrower.

Just finished the kit. It was a horrible cast, with bubble all over the place. Most of them just below the surface. I've had Champange with less bubbles ;) Paint job is a combination of airbrush and hand brush.

I'm glad you said something about the casting, because mine is still in the box because of it. lol! Little history lesson - it was sculpted by Gabriel Marquez and they had the head re-done by Joy & Tom studio.

You did a nice job on this one!

Great paint job, I have always sucked at skin tones.
I love the subject of this kit, but I have always been a bit of the fence about it. Her head looks sculpted too big to me (not uncommon for me to feel that on many kits) regardless you are doing a great with it. :thumbsup

where did you get the kit ? It could be a recast .I have one and she was done in pink resin.

I didn't buy it myself. A client of mine did. He asked several questions to make sure it wasn't a recast, but but both he and I have our doubts. This one was in ivory resin.

The way to determine whether it's a re-cast is whether it comes in the amount of pieces that is described on the XOFACTO site or if there are more pieces. If gotten from XOFACTO you can be assured that it is a 100% original.

Hope that helped a little.

And it's a superb build-up of a great and quite rare iirc kit.
