Electronics wizards, I seek your help! Docooler voice changer related

I bought the Docooler Mini 8 Multi Voice changer for my Vader and Kylo costumes and while the voice modulator function works well, the output coming out of the speaker leaves much to be desired. Most buyers complain that the voice, although loud, sounds muffled. I'm wondering if I could swap the speaker with a better one, or even add a audio jack to the chip so I can output to external speakers, but have no idea how to do that or what kind of replacement speaker I need.

The specs for the voice changer is as follows:

Max output power: 10W
Working voltage: 10.5V, 120MA
Frequency response: 200Hz-15kHz
Battery: 1000Ma lithium
Color: Black
Housing: ABS
Host size: 98 * 85 * 35mm
Net weight: 400g

Attached are pics of the insides. There are no markings on the speaker.

Any suggestions are very much appreciated.

10W audio output without a driver transistor or heatsink sounds... impressive.

If we are talking a design issue, the problem could be a cheap speaker, or it might go deeper (mismatch between driver electronics and speaker) in a way not easily correctable. If you can copy the numbers off the chips (integrated circuits), and the speaker specs (hopefully printed on the speaker somewhere), I could try to check and see what they did.
