Elder Wand Build Question.

So I am working on making an Elder Wand from Harry Potter and was wondering how to make the little white paper looking thing near the grip.

I thought that taping a piece of paper on would not be sturdy enough and would fall off. I also thought about painting it, but I don't think that would look right.
If anyone was any ideas or has done this in the past it would be very appreciated if you could help me out.

Apoxie Sculpt is your best bet. You won't need much, but you can mix, apply, engrave the images in the wand and let cure overnight. Then all you have to do is lightly sand and paint the engraved recesses. Good luck!
