@ What the **** are you
"frosted" plastic can be added to cut down the brightness, and there's an interesting effect if you put it about a quarter inch away... it makes the circular LED shapes blend so they look more rectangular... sort of like a magnifying glass effect.

regarding how its sequenced/what it needs...... hint: Lotsa outputs
and seconding what Xdmray said, its a standalone lid, this particular one fits the nolan top but... mrrrphgggg can't say any more....
