eFX Website up and running!

Hi Everyone!

I thought I would let you know that our website is now up and ready for registrations!

There are still parts that are still under construction but we will have them up soon.

If you are planning on purchasing the Stormtrooper Helmet tomorrow, we strongly urge you to register for an account today as the servers will be very busy tomorrow. In addition, once you register you will have to activate your account through an email you receive from us. Due to the large number of people registering, it make take a little while for you to receive your activation email.

If you have not received our newsletter, please read below as to the 10 minute timeline you have to complete your order:

The ordering process is simple. When you place a new launch item into your shopping cart you have ten minutes to successfully complete your order. If for any reason your order is not completed in this time, the launch order will be removed from your shopping cart and returned to stock, becoming available for another customer to add to their cart. When all available stock is currently allocated into shopping carts you will receive this message "Item temporarily unavailable. Please try again later." if you try to purchase a helmet. Any orders not successfully completed will result in the items being returned to stock, becoming available for another customer's selection. When all orders become successfully completed the product will become "SOLD OUT" on the website.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Enjoy!!

I know it’s in other threads, but it’s not easy to find w/ Google, so uh,

What IS the website? :)

Three things:

1. Always include a link with your posts!
2. What's the point of opening if everything is "under construction"! :lol
3. Is "Ahsoka's" (ugh) lightsaber really such a priority? :angry :unsure

Glad to see that EFX will be posting photos of their replicas before they go on sale.

It always bothered me that MR would only post CGI renders of the props for sale.

Don't we get enough CGI from Star Wars already:lol

The Helmets look good, and I strangely like the Ahsoka lightsaber.

Has EFX considered doing any other EU props.

I think it would be kinda cool to see some legacy props. Just a thought:love

Dan

Thanks Amy
Ahsoka's lightsaber is awesome, and with her playing a part in the upcoming movie I think it is a great choice, nice to see something new, especially something from Animation made into real.
Shoot, one more thing i want to get:thumbsup

Hi Amy, do you have any idea how long it takes for an activation email to be sent when you register? I signed up about an hour ago and have not been sent the email yet.

I sense a bit of hostility towards Efx........you're treating them like they are MR......let's give them a chance to really wow us. I already love their business philosophy 100x more than MR's. There is no exclusive club that unfairly limits the average Joe from getting cool stuff. As for the website being fully operational...........tons and tons of websites have limited function in the first weeks. Let's just chill out and see what cool things are still to come. It's like an Advent Calendar........what's the fun in eating all the chocolates in the first 5 minutes???? Peace guys,

Dave :)

PS B-9, my activation email literally arrived the second I hit the enter key at the end of the process.

Thanks Dave, I have it now..with a different email. The original still has not come thru, so I don't know what happened there. I tried to register again but it would say my email was already in the system.

But as you said, it's a new site, and bound to be a few teething problems. I for one never dealt with MR, so can eat my choccies one at a time!

Well, I was close to buying the new helmet, but with shipping at $419 I am afraid I had to pass. Should I be suuprised? That seems incredibly high to me

I completely agree.I went through the checkout and got to the shipping to the UK which was $441 ECONOMY.I would love someone to explain to me how they figure that the shipping to the UK is more than the helmet itself.I really wanted one of these and possibly one of the concept Vader helmets but there is no way I will be doing business with efx with shipping like that.Unbelievable.

I didn't think Fedex/UPS shipping was that expensive.

USPS would be cheaper.

Well let me put it this way.Just last month I had a piece shipped to me from the US which was a very large, very heavy display. It cost $65 to ship.

Well, I placed my order and got a confirmation and order number. But, my order status in my history says, "waiting for process". Does that mean everything is cool?

I also thought shipping was slightly steep at $37.50. It costs me less than that to ship a 60 ppound box via ground. But compared to the rates overseas customers are getting quoted, I guess it ain't that bad.

I was really suprised, I was expecting to pay over $100, but not more than the helmet itself. I have had some very large heavy parts sent from the USA not long ago and it was around $60.

Is this what MR was like with shipping prices? I am not trying to have eFX compared with MR, I just want to know if I should have expected those sort of shipping fees

This is probably a stupid question, and I apologize for asking...but was that number perhaps the total with the shipping factored in? Shipping in the states was $37.50. If $441.00 is the accurate figure, I don't see any of these being sold overseas. Sheesh.

I don't think it is that much for shipping, I think it is more likely a tech problem with the website.
Repeating the total, adding the wrong numbers in the checkout process or the like. Come on, who believes they charge 38 bucks shipping in the US but $400 overseas:eek
If there is a CS number just give them a call, I am sure it will get straightened out.:)
