eFX SCOUT TROOPER HELMET LEGEND EDITION!!

Nope not at all. Sadly, just continued issues at the factory level.
The scout is our only outstanding SW product where money has exchanged hands. All the others still in various stages of development.
Everything is still moving forward, nothing has been cancelled nor is anyone's money in danger of being lost.

.

That's great news. I am glad people will be getting their helmets but what about all the other stuff like the Boba Fett helmet, the 1/1 Stormy, the Hero Stormy helmet and the Y wing, etc.

You know as well as anyone no communication is not good and there is no way you can tell us in the past few years there has been no progress on these??????

Tom

So is that all the information you can give us Gino? Issues? How long has it been now since eFX took people's money? An update rather than absolutely no information at all is well overdue. Factory issues just doesn't cut it in my book. I have emailed Brian personally without so much as a reply. We need something to hang on to instead of 2 years of "issues"

EFX update JULY 25th 2015

Barring any further "unexpected challenges" we are anticipating to be able to start to ship soon!

Really?

I know there are a lot of people on Rebelscum wanting refunds but can't get ahold of anyone to get a refund.IMO that is f'n pathetic.Good luck everyone, how I wish it was 04-07 with props again.

ouch you guys have been waiting on a update for the longest and when you finally get someone all they give you is "issues" man im so glad I didn't pull the trigger on this one.

Its bad enough as it is that there are no responses to your emails but scary when there is no response when you are asking for a refund.

Sounds like they will not reply until they are actually ready for shipping and when they do reply to your refund emails they will state "ops too late it has already been shipped"

sad way to do business

I thought there was someone looking into a lawyer on whether something could be filed like a class action thing with eFX. That was a couple months ago though.

not that there aren't a jillion more questions but a simple post like this does wonders. Thank you!

"I'm thinking positive... even though it never works."
Me.
All the time at work.

I've been in this long, I might as well see it through to the end. Especially when I'm in only as deep as a deposit, & eFX has never let me down before (I write this as I look at my Death Star Modules - who's only delay in arrival was caused by FedEx). Although this has been a great trial on patience, from delays - & nerves, from lack of updates. Thank you, Gino, for the quasi update. As Scottjua said, though short, a simple post does wonders. Also, like Tom1971, I'm trying to stay optimistic. However, trying to stay optimistic, can be very trying.
Please, Gino, pass along to Brian that a little more expansive updated email (other than simply stating "factory delays") would go along way - & I think is past due. Like was there a quality issue that caused the need to scrap the run of the helmets we saw in the last email? That's my question.

I really, really want a Biker Scout helmet. I really want the 1/1 Hero Stormy, Y wing, my RMQ Vader helmet back along with my Clonetrooper Helmet and Clone Captain Helmet.

I have re-aquired a EFX Luke Reveal saber which is on of my two favorite Sabers.

However that all pales in comparison to how much I want a Boba Fett helmet cast from the Original Hero Helmet.

Sadly I do not believe any of these will come to pass. I hope I am wrong and EFX turns things around. Nothing would make me happier than to be proven wrong. I am also not at all impressed with Anovos' offerings so far. Looking at my beloved PCR Stormy that I just re-aquired and comparing it to the Anovos equivalent is disappointing. Anovos so far is not even close to the same level of quality.

So I really hope EFX can get it together.

I want that Boba Fett helmet so bad I can taste the paint. Okay that was weird and made no sense but you get the idea

Tom

I hope eFX could be run by more than 1 person and hire some damn PR person, a product lead, and rep who can handle the accounting side.

Wishful thinking. It will never happen.

Thanks for the update Gino. I will continue to patiently wait for my Scout Helmet.

Some kind of update is better than nothing and helps a lot. We all know there are delays and I am usually a pretty patient collector but this one has been 'long in the tooth'.

I feel like I am beginning to get collector's burnout. Just starting to lose interest in collecting anything at all from anyone.

I agree it helps some and goes a ways to at least keep us informed. But, at the same time, I'm getting tired of hearing the same thing all the time.

It will only help for a very short while before we'll all be back here again for another round of this crap.

Efx is shady. Gino's comment above gives me a mental image of the captain of the Titanic telling everyone "everything's juuuuuust fine" as the ship goes down. There is absolutely NO REASON they can't make a simple post or send an email out that explains the situation openly and honestly. The way they operate is inexcusable and unethical. Ignoring paying customers for MONTHS on end is absurd.

I got an email update!...... from RS.
In short, they apologized for the delays. Said they've been overwhelmed with orders (from all the Star Wars mania), & moved to a new facility, & that was the cause for the delays. Now that they're settled in to the new place, & have more people hired, the Scout is priority #1. They HOPE to have the 1st wave out this month, & the 2nd wave out in February.
We shall see :)

Come on eFX, it's your turn! :thumbsup

Yeah I got the same email. If RS deliver on their promise I can finally cancel and forget about ever ordering the eFX LE

I'll keep my eFX. What the hell, I've been in this long. This fiasco's gotta end someday. Also, I want to do a comparison between eFX & RS. Plus eFX will come "weathered" & have a pistol. & RS will be "clean".

Yep. I'll believe it when I see it.

They could have sent a message about a lapse in production/operations due to finding a new underground facility where no one would find them a while back as an "update", but they just decided to do it and not tell anyone. It would have helped ease some worries and explain a lot to delays.

The part that makes no sense is, regardless where eFX is, aren't these being produced offshore away from eFX?

eFX has a loooooong history of delayed shipping of their products to paying customers, yet they seem to be able to get stuff to the big Cons they attend with all the attendant expensive booths and personnel, etc. The whole deal seems like deja vu from when they announced their Disney Nautilus model. They had the prototypes at ComicCon and Scott Brodeen, who made the originals was there to help the hype, but then, there were seemingly unending delays and the same "head-in-the-sand" lack of communication about those delays. Other products were handled in the same way: They are all over the web and at Cons hyping their new stuff; doing interviews and advertising the products - all the schmooz and pimping in full swing - Then the orders came in and ................... (crickets chirping in the high grass) ................... Nothing in the way of communication with their loyal customers after agonizingly long wait times. It's like, the only thing they are good at is making cool prototypes and pimping them, then when it comes to fulfillment - ZILCH! The crazy thing about it is that people who have gone through this with multiple products are still willing to suspend their disbelief and order the next cool thing.

Actually, there is an upside to all of this, several companies have made good money jumping into the breach and making their own replicas to fill the need for these items. Of course, some of those companies have fallen into the same quagmire as eFX. Maybe it is a disease you catch from fiberglas or resin ...

Yeah I totally see all that with the shows. Amazing they're even allowed on show floors to do what they do, and with their reputation as a business aside from the quality product (when they finally deliver).

For me it's my first dealing with them, and it will certainly be my last. No question.

I too received the same email from RS Prop Masters regarding the their Scout helmet but am somewhat sceptical as it contains the same empty promises we've already been given.

As for Efx.....
