Something must be happening with efx for Gino to remove his comments.

I was looking forward to the SE PCR Vader. Maybe it will never be released.
 
So, here's a question for you, if it is so inexcusable. Why are people coming down on EFX for this, and the TIE, when Anovos has taken payments on literally over two dozen items, at least? They have shipped TWO ITEMS out of that list. Hell, even the fabric stuff was announced years ago and not word one. EFX has released many items and had issue with two. As far as track records go, EFX is doing much better than Anovos.

Yet not one person would complain. It makes ZERO sense.

Lots of people complain about Anovos, but the differences are A. communication - Anovos may keep pushing back delivery dates, but they keep telling people about it, and B. Anovos doesn't have any of their high up employees coming onto this forum to bash other people's products and extol the virtues of their own (vapor)products as the be all end all.

How is that communication? Are they telling you why an item has been pushed back? Nope...they are just stroking customer egos to keep them from asking the serious questions, like "Is My full payment being used to fun some other project?" Or "How come this fabric costume is taking two+ years to complete?" As to the bashing, Anovos doesn't need to bash. They have all of their fanboys waiting on their vaporware to bash for them. I will stress this point once again. EFX has had TWO pooch screws in regards to getting items out. Anovos has well over two dozen products, at least, that people have paid in full for that they have not seen.

Yeah, let's totally bash the lesser evil here.

How about we compare whose had the license longest and who's held their products in development hell longer as well.

You seem so defensive for efx. Do you have a stake in the company as well? Their employees don't seem to limited in their ability to make their stakes obvious on this forum even if it means calling them out

And you seem overly aggressive in your attacks. It isn't being defensive as much as calling a spade a spade. Both companies have failed BIG TIME to deliver. One company has more of their customer's money in their pockets and far more products in "development hell". I don't have to have a stake in the company to be objective. Aside from their lack of "communication", EFX has done a better job of getting things into customer hands with regards to the Star Wars license than Anovos has.

It's as simple as that.
 
If you don't see all of the bashing that Anovos gets either on here, Facebook, or other forums, then you have selective blindness.

If you think fans bashing one company's products and supporting another's is the same thing as a very high up employee of one company bashing other people's work while claiming theirs is the best, I don't know what to tell you. They are very different and it comes off in poor taste when an employee does it.

And yeah, Anovos does communicate why things are being pushed back or they are late. Whether or not what they say is true is another matter, but again, at least they are communicating SOMETHING. Something is better than nothing.
 
I don't think Anovos is lying, but I'm sure some people do. I would rather deal with a company that responds to inquiries, provides regular updates, and provides an easy path out if I want a refund as opposed to one that doesn't respond, doesn't give updates, makes the refund process difficult, oh, and has a major employee that goes on forums and trashes other people's work.


Also, there's a difference between telling me something hasn't shipped yet because they are waiting for packaging to be finished when in reality they just haven't made enough yet but are in the process of making them and telling me it's waiting for packaging approval when in actuality nothing has been made and you are sitting on a beach in the Caribbean sipping a Mai Tai.* The former isn't a good business practice, the latter is fraud. Until I have reason to believe that Anovos doesn't intend to deliver a product they offer, or they start refusing refunds, I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.


*To be clear I'm not accusing EFX of doing this. They eventually do deliver. My main problems are the complete lack of communication and the arrogant attitude that is portrayed in the forum.

Then maybe have the same standard for EFX. That's all I am saying as a consumer. I am not saying Anovos is not going to deliver, but when you see a company take full payment on over two dozen items and not deliver one, that is worrisome. It's like they are using one project to fund the next as opposed to manufacturing what they have promised.

I am holding them to the same standard. EFX doesn't respond to questions. They drag their feet to issue refunds. They bash their competitors in here. Anovos doesn't do that. They both have long waits for products. Most things on here do. It's the wait combined with everything else that is an issue with EFX.

I'm going to seriously ask which licensed competitor EFX has bashed. I haven't seen it, but I am going to assume you have and can point me to it.
 
The eFx "apologists" on this forum really are something. How the hell can anyone try and justify the way this company has done business? If an individual prop maker on this forum was conducting himself the way eFx has they would have been called out for their practices and probably banned from the site, but eFx's mouthpieces are allowed to continue posting here. A little strange if you ask me.

I think we can ALL agree that BOTH companies - EFX and Anovos - have serious issues delivering any product in a timely manner... or at all.
