Does anybody know what brand Jones was wearing? These aren't your modern clip-on flip-ups - these are built into a half-frame / rimless style.
Google has failed me, and I will be asking actual opticians next, assuming I can find any who have been in the field since the 80's.
But I figured I'd ask the collective brain trust here to try to cover my bases.
Thx in advance!

Thank you so much! That is helpful. I hope you are right.

(For those wondering, I am having issues with my progressive lenses, and find it easier to just not use them when doing up-close work, but taking them off increases the chances of misplacing/damaging them, keeping them on a chain around my neck or putting them into a breast pocket gets them in the way of what I'm looking at, looking over them strains my eyes too much, and putting them up into my hair gets them dirty or they end up falling off entirely. So I really just need them out of the way temporarily, which flip-ups would/should do.)
