Has anyone had any dealings with a UK based ebayer with the username imperialarmour?

UK seller Imperial Armour isn't DL... they sell Chinese recast FX armour with a very nasty looking SDS recast lid.

Price is way over the top as well, near on double what you can get a genuine set of FX armour for.

An up and coming UKG member bought this set, without knowing all the facts. They asked me to help them build it (as we live local to each other).

TBH, it's the worst set of armour I have ever come across in my 5 years with the 501st. It's very thin in places, to the point of being see-through. It also doesn't like the usual ABS glues out there... they just won't stick to it no matter how much you prep the surfaces.

Thanks. Yeah... the name threw me off at first... but I just couldn't recall whether DLaws was US or UK based... it just felt more right that it was the first.

So the recommendation is NOT TO BUY from this guy?

yeah agreed abt imperial armour

in fact there are 3 UK bay stormie sellers all of which offer FX recasts of varying quality
imperial armour, chimera sales and stormtrooper shop
the 1st 2 also seem to sell the same SDS recast lid and the last the original FX lid.

I would never recommend to buy or not - aint my place. but I do say; hey; thats a recast and recasting is bad for the bobby.

price wise and u are goign for a FX kit - far better to get direct from source via FISD (the 501 stormtrooper detachment)

That is a guy named Chris who supplies Chimerasales/Chimerabespoke amongst others and they sell his recasts for him ,and yes it's recast and like heatshock says it's way too expensive for FX anyway, shop around you will probably find a kit a lot cheaper like a third of the cost.

Glad that I frequent these boards as I found the whole blurb and pice to be very convincing.

If I do get my behind in gear and get a set of trooper armour I know who to pester, I mean ask.
