East Coast prop party May 23rd! IMPORTANT ADDRESS NOTE!!!!

Re: East Coast prop party! Yup, this time for real...

I plan on stopping by..not sure if I need a table..I will let you know closer...

Re: East Coast prop party! Yup, this time for real...

Be sure to install a paper towel dispenser on it too, as I'll be drooling all over it.

Note To Self: Get more of the collection under glass!:lol

Also, to Steve; what's the address?
I Googled "Schwenksville, PA firehouse" and got nothing.
This seems like a fairly straight-forward trip from Lancaster,
but I want to have a destination.

Thanks,
Mike

Re: East Coast prop party! Yup, this time for real...

Um...yah. What HE said. :)

Shaping up to be pretty cool.

You don't really need to reserve tables...we will just set up a BUNCH and you can grab whatever you need.

I DARE you to bring so much stuff that we run out of tables...

I TRIPLE DOG DARE you!

Re: East Coast prop party! Yup, this time for real...

I'd like very much to attend, but I don't believe I'll be prepared to show much of anything off, maybe other than what I can carry on my person. What's the etiquette for non-displaying attendants? Can we just show up and be wallflowers and gawk at everyone's awesomeness? I've never been to a Prop Party... I'd kinda like to just spectate my first time around.

Would you still like a donation for entry?

BTW pennausamike, I'll be coming from the Lancaster area as well. See you there!

EDIT: sorry, I just noticed that you answered this question earlier in the thread. Cash at the Door OK?

Re: East Coast prop party! Yup, this time for real...

Everyone is certainly welcome to just come and "gawk", but the more people that bring stuff, the more there will be to GAWK AT.

(Yes, I ended my sentence in a preposition for dramatic effect.)

If nobody brings stuff...all you will be gawking at; is each other. :lol

If anyone is really, sincerely strapped, just let me know...I can slide on the $20...I don't want people to stay home because of 20 bucks. BUT...

The room and food usually comes to about $500+ and if everyone wants a pass on the entry fee, I get stuck with the bill. Ya know?

As the all-wise and knowing Outlander told me about his recent party...everyone will want a pass on the money and it ends up with the host chasing everyone around, trying to collect money as they all try to dodge him. Jeff already experienced that...I have no wish to do so.

And that isn't what the day is about...right?

We are all there to have fun and network with each other, and buy/sell/trade, show off our cool stuff, etc.

I don't want to spend the day playing "debt collector". :confused

Re: East Coast prop party! Yup, this time for real...

Understood. I'd like to donate either way... just don't know if I'll have time to prepare my stuff to be shown.

Thanks

Re: East Coast prop party! Yup, this time for real...

Looks I'm coming to the party as well. I'll only be bringing my unfinished training remote (and the original kits its made from) and an all original parts ESB Graflex. If you're not counting ginos t track. I don't have a large collection of props yet, but I don't want to just show up empty handed either. Anyone want to split a half a table? http://www.therpf.com/images/smilies/lol.gif

Re: East Coast prop party! Yup, this time for real...

Bump, and a request that this be stickied on the front page for a few weeks so everyone can see it might have missed it.

Re: East Coast prop party! Yup, this time for real...

Steve, just a suggestion...I would edit your first post to reflect the date, time, place, details, costs etc...I had a few people say they had to search the whole thread just to find those details.

Also, I know you said it starts at 11ish but will you have the hall open a little before that for people that need to set up OR do you want people to start setting up AT 11?

Re: East Coast prop party! Yup, this time for real...

Good point. I shall edit now!

I don't officially have the room until 11:00, but they usually open it a bit early for us.

I wouldn't recommend getting there MUCH earlier, just in case.

We technically only have the room until 4, but we usually end up staying until 5 or 6 and they don't scream.

We can take anyone (who wants to) back to the house (for the usual tour) and then the usual dinner.

Re: East Coast prop party! Yup, this time for real...

Bump for a sticky? No love for the East Coast???

This event isn't that far away, it stinks to have to keep hunting for this thread.

Oh look, anybody want a soapbox? :)

Re: East Coast prop party is ON May 23rd!

Party is ON! May 23rd 11:00 am to 5pm. Tour and Dinner afterwards.

Schwenksville Fire Hall, 300 Main St Schwenksville, PA

It is only a few miles from the Lansdale exit of the PA TPK. The Kulpsville Best Western is RIGHT across from the TPK exit.

The hall rental price is still the same so it would be $20 per person, $35 per couple for hall space, 2 to 3, 8-foot tables (if needed), snacks, all-you can eat and drink lunch, etc etc.

If anyone wants to come on Friday night, we always have a pre-party dinner with some folks, coming in from out-of-town.

Just let me know in-advance if you will be there. My e-mail is sdstudios@aol.com if you have questions.

See you all there!

bump to repeat info
