Early 1980s Atari/Imagic game art for Atlantis - I'm looking for any decent resolution art / images, mainly of the attacking spacecraft.
1982 (?) Imagic Atlantis cartridge Enterprise documentary 'All In The Game', intro’d by Eric Sevareid
At 12:50 into the video, during the play-testing, there is a brief glimpse of a table beyond the kids that looks to have the model diorama, all primer-ed up, which was used for the cover art.
The best image I’ve found on the web shows that attacking Gorgon ships are mainly Vulcan Warp Shuttle over an Aurora Orion clipper, plus mixed other bits. The Atlantis buildings are a mix of Revell Shuttle SRBs, the Shuttle external fuel tank, a Klingon warp nacelle, possible Saturn V sections, Millennium Falcon parts, and a Monogram Draconian Fighter as the center spire.
While ID’ing everything would be cool, I’m mainly interested in the attacking Gorgon ships. Does anyone have any input, or, just better source images? Any help would be appreciated!
(minor note: I've not given up on the Space Academy build, I'm just doing some additional model research!)
