Here is my first E-11
I did this one for a customer, after he bought one of my DL-44's, he ordered another DL-44 and one of these.
I started with a hasbro E-11, though that is probably not apparent from the pics.
I took the toy blaster and did a lot of body work to it. Sanded out seem lines, filled in screw holes, added a resin dress up kit, and I made a new much more accurate trigger guard.
I also reshaped the toy trigger to look more accurate.
I installed two solid cylindrical aluminum rods, for and aft, to add weight to the blaster, increasing the weight by a pound. Without them, it just felt to much like a toy.
Finally, I repainted the blaster a textured matte black, and went over it with some light dry brushing of gun metal on the blaster body, and brass on the scope.
The led was replaced with a seoul p4, wired to a transistor.
We were going to install a laser unit, however power restrictions were a problem, and the blaster emitter design did not lend itself to a laser.
Plus, the seoul p4 actually ended up being brighter than the laser unit.
Here is the video, finally!
