DV6/Parks ROTJ Vader upgrades/corrections

Hello, long time removed from the hobby. So much so, I believe this is the old screen name I had hear I the early 2000s. Must have been deleted out of the system.

Anyway, I’m diving headfirst back into the saber hobby and have bought/ordered most all the sabers from prequels, original trilogy, to the new trilogy that I want for my collection. One of em being a Parks/DV6 Rotj Vader.

The emitter end needs painted.

Ordered a blade plug, it’s kind accurate.... I might have a machine shop turn me one more accurate.

The end cap, I ordered a graflex solid end piece from wanna wanga.

My question is about the door latch. Any one ever replace it? I seen one for sale at shopways I’m interested in.

Curious if anyone has done any of the upgrades, especially the door latch? The exposed bolts of the DV6 door latch really bother me.

I made a few Rotj Vader’s and sold em years ago. Wish I had kept one.

I have a pewter one I got off the "bay" from the UK (maybe?) Members have actually found this type on MPP cases, while that's probably not where the SW team got one, it's a cool coincidence

To make it more accurate, You could replace the thumbscrew with straight knurling by a diamond shape one to be more accurate like I did
