So after weeks of finding reference and actually getting some insider information I managed to figure out and "reverse engineer" the DUNE (2021) still suit (padded parts).

A good friend Jorge Zepeda (you are AMAZING) then drew these up for laser cutting and I am happy to share these with the community now.

These files include almost ALL the soft parts that are not part of the main fabric suit and are scaled to a 5'8 60 kilogram person but can very easily be scaled up or down before laser cutting or printing out in paper and cutting manually out of foam or neoprene, these have ALL the slits for straps and holes for snaps and the parts should be cut out of 3mm EVA foam or 3mm neoprene.

See pictures for representation of files and reference picture.

FILES ARE HERE :

PLEASE NOTE : These files include two STL files for the crotch protection and the belly pad (only parts that are apparently "hard" plastic.

DISCLAIMER: These files are NOT to be used for lucrative purposes and any modifications other than scaling should be consented by Jorge and myself.

That is looking great. Is this mostly sealed foam. Will it be painted or weathered or as is?

How are you planning to do the sleeves? They have an airsoft dye sleeve look to them.

Which sleeves are you talking about ? The fabric part of the costume ?

I have a seamstress working on that im not that good with fabric.

As for the foam I'm thinking of what to seal it with as I really don't want it to crack or wrinkle too much.

Of course it will be weathered !

Plastidip for the foam maybe?

The undersuit looks to have sleeves. But there seems to be sleeves over them that look like paintball/airsoft protective over sleeves
The left arm here at the elbow there is an opening.

These are awesome! May try and tackle it one day. What laser are you using? I assume the parts are too big for a glowforge?

Those photos look amazing! I tried to open that google drive link but it says that I don't have access. Can I have access so I can use them to make a stillsuit?
