I got this from NewForceComics this morning. Good news!!

Late last week, we agreed to share (with EE) the 3rd Tricorder version that DST produced/is producing (other 2 are science and medical)...this time, it is the Geological Tricorder.

This set will have minor cosmetic differences from the other 2 (picture coming soon) and This set will come with all new phrases:
1- Computer Working
2-Computer Standingy by
3-Computer Affirmative
4-Computer Data Received
5- Library Computer
6- Computer Accomplished

We will add to our website as soon as DST confirms ETA and pricing for us, but I wanted to give you all a "heads up!"

Thanks,
Rick, www.newforcecomics.com

This is awesome news. I am particularly excited because the Geo Tric has been shown side by side with the planned TWOK communicator as future products. If THIS is coming soon, there is hope the TWOK comm. is not far behind.

I love the Geo Tric especially because of some of the closeups that appear in the show. Arguably, aside from some of the shots in City on the Edge of Forever, the Geo Tric takes the cake with regard to full frontal, closeup, screentime.

This (http://www.flickr.com/photos/geekinthecity/3308211416/) is what one looks like.

That is looking pretty good.
It will be nice to have a tricorder that has tricorder sounds instead of the crew conversations!!

I think I will pic up a couple of these!:cool

Just hoping it is truly configured as a GEO tric.
"Minor cosmetic difference" scares me that it will look like a normal tric.

Some might consider the differences between the geo and the regular tricorder to be minor.

I'm pretty sure DST is smart enough to do it right. You've got to give them that the dimensions of their stuff is pretty accurate and they know what they are doing. Too bad some of the quality is off and they seem to have to make everything talk to make it more toy like.

It's up for pre-order now at newforcecomics.com, set for an early 2010 release. $44.99 each. Rick said quantities are limited and once he sells out, that's it.

How can there be more than one exclusive supplier?
NewForceComics and EntertainmentEarth both say "Exclusive".

NewForce has a better price!!!
