Upcoming event here in the UK.

R2-D2 Club members will be bringing along their droids, Astromech’s, along with friends with Dalek’s, Dr Who, other Star Wars droids, all hand built.

Last year was great and the public loved it.

We had a great time showing off the builds, chatting and answering questions about them.
We have two protocol droids attending

I was there early, so missed the droids out in the open. Which was a shame as its always fun watching the droids ad-lib with the crowed. It was very crowded in the Shed.

Shout out to the protocol droid. You need a certain body type to pull I off (I'm more suited for a gamorrean guard cosplay then a droid these days ) and you have to get the costume absolutely right, so a treat seeing one in the wild.

And the little pit droid on a bike. Again, you cant make a walking one, but with all the mechanism in the bike and the pit droid being the passive passenger as, it were, the cheeky little feller really comes alive.

They're all too young at the moment, but I'm hoping at least one of my grandkids will be into Star Wars soon, as there is a whole accessible world out there that I can take them to, and see the wonder and joy of seeing them in person for the first time.
