DRIVE (2011) Scorpion Satin Jacket

@etchoutyourbark

Is it comfortable when you move around with the jacket? Some of the other guys seemed to had concerns about possibly ripping because of how slim it was.

first photo is with my arms up, second and third are with my arms crossed; all three with the jacket zipped all the way up. the brown fabric used underneath the arms is the same used for the cuffs (like a hoodie sleeve's cuff). thanks to the soft fabric, it allows for movement.

i personally have no trouble moving around. i could do backflips in this hoodie (if i knew how to do a backflip at all). but this is all taking into account that i don't have massive man muscles/shoulders. if any guys feel like the threads might give way in the back area, i imagine it'd be from the diamond stitching, and not the scorpion (the scorpion has a pretty solid knit, unlike the flimsy diamond stitching).

i hope this helps! i feel like someone should just do a video review on the jacket; it'd help a lot.

hey guys new to the site, but I've been following this thread for some time. I picked up a size 8 from gaspar gloves. i should have listen to myself and not anyone else cause i was hoping for a tight fit. I only get it when i make a fist. i sprayed a little water on them and wore them until they dried but nothing except some damaged leather. Im going to condition them and sell them to a friend and pick up a 7 1/2. i picked up a pair of sunglasses from Maui Jim called Dawn Patrol. they look great. I also ordered a jacket from steady and will post some picks when i get it. (I'm part of the 3rd run)

Yeah someone should definitely do a video review. I'm really in a cross between either buying the Steady jacket or the Magnoli jacket. A video review would really help with this. By the way, it's awesome to see a girl rocking the jacket out. You have nice taste! Most of the girls where I live are not even aware the movie 'Drive' exists which is partly the reason why I'm buying the jacket.

hahah thanks! i feel the same way about people around here. it's a lonely existence. :lol

i was still debating Indy's jacket too. but so far, in spite of Steady being an absolute pain, it's really not a bad jacket to settle for. but i might regret saying that later... because i'm not sure about its wear-and-tear.

I think it's inside lining that is making that noise like something is about to rip instead of diamond stitching.

@ etchoutyourbank

Hey i was curious if the diamond stitching on your jacket matches up at the corners correctly. It looks like it does but I have seen that most of the large jackets have an overlap. I don't know about most of you guys but this is a deal-breaker for me, kinda picky when it comes to things like that.

been tracking my jacket but now it wont come until after christmas.:cry

Hey everyone, first post here but I have been following this thread for sometime. I am going to order a jacket from get go retro. The only hurdle I have is the sizing issue, I was going to place an order for the S size seeing as all the 'measurements' were around the same or an inch or two more than my usual jackets. After reading the posts however I am really not sure if I should go for S or M. I am 5ft 7.5 150lbs American living in Hong Kong, return shipping for exchange will be a nightmare. Does anyone have the actual measurements of the Small and Med jackets?

Looking good! Thanks for the photos. I was wondering when a female would model the jacket. It feels like it was built for women, to a certain degree anyways.

Have you been wearing the jacket out much? I'm only asking because I'm afraid that when I get my jacket, it'll just sit in my wardrobe until I feel brave enough to wear it haha! :lol

When I get mine, I think it'll spend a lot of it's life on a mannequin. I am putting together an entire screen-accurate wardrobe, so mine will most likely live in my bedroom.

I think once you wear it out once and judge people's reaction to it you should be fine but to be honest I've seen men dress up as women and not give a **** about their appearance so there's no point in feeling that self-conscious whilst wearing it.

I don't mean the look, I mean the fit. Several of us have troubles moving our arms in some of the sizes, regardless of our build. I will 100% wear this out in public, I am not worried about that.

Just got the medium.

Well I'm glad I didn't go with the small. I even should have ordered a large since it basically fits like a small one.

I'll stick with this one, already paid $30 for customs.

Like the overall quality despite the cuffs and colar, but It fit too snug.

Time to lose weight.:sleep

I've been trying to get a hold of Get Go Retro for the past four days to do an exchange, emails and phone calls. Anyone having trouble getting in touch with them, or know a better contact route?

She has been busy lately, I haven't heard from her either. Expect a reply quite shortly though.
