DragonBall Z Pics up

Hi, I've got some images up from Dragonball z now on my site. It's in the photo gallery area. They changed my site around so it is all weird on me. I'm looking for a better way of managing my site. Might have to pay somebody one day to do a better one.

To explain. Normally I have more time to make guns. These were very difficult due to the time I had. I would get an illustration on a Saturday (No CAD file) I'd start on designing it 3D and figure out all the mechanisms inside and lighting it. I'd begin machining on Sunday and have molds and parts done by Tuesday to ship on that Wednesday. That is a lot of stuff in a short time frame. Not bad for the amount of time. This went on with this show every week for about 3 months. Lots of hours and last minute design changes.

Crikey that is a very short time frame, how could a production be so short sighted? Hope you were compensated well for it as they look brilliant. I'd love to have a set of DragonBalls.

We had originally 5 weeks but they would redesign it so often that it came down to that. The back pack / rocket pack was the same time frame. Nut's I tell you. But that was a fun show. Kept moving and at a great pace.

I'll update my site and show the step by step as to how I made the balls. They are a machining deal and a laser deal jig nightmare. Kind of busy with Tron 2 right now so when I get a chance I'll post those up. Back to disc for now.

Also got to also express my love for your real-life representation of the dragon balls. Toriyama's design from the comic and tv show are iconic to be sure, but I gotta say I like what you've done better :thumbsup

Wow, great job with the props, even with the short time frame. I've mentioned before that I loved the job you did with the actual dragonballs. If only the people responsible for the actual movie cared as much as you do about creating quality products.

Tron, Tron Tron. Well I think I'd rather be working on a friend of mine's Rocketeer pack pack sometimes. Tron is kicking my butt. 10 pounds of electronics in a 1 pound bag. One day when the movie comes out I'll post the whole process of what it take to make one of these Discs. Lots of machining with very tight tolerences.

Some seriously nice work there. Tron 2 eh? Tells us more about Tron!!

The props look great. Do the mechanisms in the guns move? I'm not even a fan of Dragonball and I want to see the movie just to see the props in action!
