just wondering has anyone here ever use Dragon Skin?
and how well would it work for a pred skin?
any ideas on how to properly use this stuff?
and how thick /thin can i apply it if i where to use it?

Ive always thought of any slicone as THE ULTIMATE suit, i mean its going to last hell of alot longer than latex, and the flexability would be awesome.

As Xdmray says, itll be expensive, but expensive is a very vague word as one mans expansive is another mans pennies, and i am sure you know the price already

Personally when i get around to it i am going to make my legs skins again using GEL10, But i still need to do some research about painting the skins to see if i can just mix my FW inks with thinned silicone, and also what to top coat with.

If you go ahead with this, please keep us informed, as id be interested in how you get on.

if you used dragonskin imagine how awesome it would be to be able to stretch and flex without worry of tearing!

Dragon Skin can tear if it is poured very thin, and there is already a cut or nick in place to get it startted when it is stretched.
I've only experimented with it. I've done a few small molds (one for my alien tongue) and did some tendons for my animatronic head
(NOT finished yet).

I think it is just an awesome product, and hope to find more uses for it. Unfortunately, you can't attach (glue) it to anything unless you do it mechanically.

I've only ever used dragon skin to make moulds.......basicaly as it was the ONLY platinum cure silicone that my local supplier had in at the time.........but smooth on have some tutorials on their website.....might be worth checking those out...........also......if your in the UK it might be worth giving Chris @ Bentley Chemicals a ring....as he is very knowlegable when it comes to Smooth-on products.
As far as I know......Dragonskin can be tinted......so that would be your base colour sorted......or you could build up layers of various colour.....Smooth-on do a range of silicone based paints....but for good skin tones you could try these guys
