Dracula and the Brides: Original design.

Over the last several months, I have been working on building a costume-centric production company for TV, Film, Theatre, and other creative work.

Currently we're working on building our portfolio and fan base and have scheduled several photoshoots in a series that will be a tribute to classic movie monsters. I'd like to share with the wonderful RPF community, the first in that series and invite all of you to check us out on Facebook.

As stated in the title, this is and original design, mostly done by yours truly. Unfortunately, my colleague's over enthusiasm, caused him to book the shoot with no time to create real dental prosthetics (something I excel at), but sometimes short deadlines create the best work. The brides are cobbled together from found items and a few built accessories. Dracula's jacket and vest were speed tailored, by myself, in about a week and a half in those few scant hours I had after staying late at work to get a show opened.

And just for bonus. we cast our Renfield as a female. The actress/model was perfect and a blast to work with. A little known cosplayer that goes by the name "Lindarcia."

Hey Chris, that is totally awesome!

If you really want to land a job in costume design I´d like to suggest that you not only do genre stuff (the most fun, I know that, and its a pain to have to do other stuff as well) but maybe intersperse your portfolio with contemporary and historical pics as well. Historical is actually anything that is not today, sometimes a real challenge to go back just ten years.
So what about a 1970ies wolfman ? Or a 1980ies Frankenstein?

Regardless, I am really curious to see the next installment in this series

I actually work professionally as a costume designer and technician in theatre. I've done a lot of work in different periods, and my personal portfolio has everything from contemporary, to Victorian. Strangely enough, I haven't had the occasion to go further back than that other than a few Ren faire Projects and a production of Medea, that was more Ancient Greek deconstructed modernism, than true Greek.

This project is an attempt to sort of change direction a bit. The next project is supposed to be Vaudeville-ish. I'm still tossing around where to set the other monsters. It was a push enough to get my crew out of Victorian Dracula and into the Edwardian, but I'm working to keep it moving.

Baroque Wolfman perhaps?
