Dr. Who theme...

I have no idea what color scheme to do for this. The only ideas I have are to make tiny TARDIS icons with glowing top light for "new thread" and no glow for a read thread. :p

I'm sure we can work a sonic screwdriver in there somewhere... but as for color, I'm at a loss.

Screen caps help a great deal!

What about a T.A.R.D.I.S. for new threads and a Dalek for read threads?
What series should the theme focus on? Old stuff? New stuff? Both?
Lots of possibilites with this one.

That helps, thanks! What are "typical" Dr. Who colors, though? I need roughly 5 colors to pick from. (Backgrounds, text, highlighted text, etc.)

Old School:
Tardis Blue (exterior), white with yellow roundels (inside)
Sonic Screwdriver red and silver (and black to bring some of the details out)
Tom Baker's scarf (see also: http://www.doctorwhoscarf.com/ )
Tadis Console (white, grey, silver red accents mostly)
3rd Doctor's car Bessie (yellow and black, see also http://tardis.wikia.com/wiki/Bessie )

New:
Tardis Blue (exterior), brass, green coral (interior)
Sonic Screwdriver (metalic silver, coral grey, blue light)
Chris Eccelston...black leather. Yeah baby! Leather!
David Tennet has a blue pin stripe suit with a camel colored over coat. He's worn two other suits as well. The colors escape me at the moment.
Doctor Number 11 (as of 2010)...who knows? Or should I type Who knows?

A good shot that might give you all the colors you need can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Tinterior1.jpg

If you can do it perhaps two skins? Old Who and New Who?

If you want you're welcome to use this image as a base for the old school stuff:

I had a thought earlier today. The sign on the left door, second panel down which has instructions for the phone behind that panel has been a constant since day one (although a few versions had a blue background to it instead of a white or offwhite one). One of our members here made a really good duplicate of it I think. Maybe that sign could be the background or part of it.
